Once we made it to the mansion, our doors were opened, and I saw Aurelia standing on the steps that leads to the doors. "The sun set hours ago! Come on," she rushed, clapping her hands. "Uh, we're late for something?" I asked.
"Yes, now get dressed into something less revealing. Business is very much preferable," she said very quickly. "Uh, okay," Lola trailed off.
She snapped her fingers, allowing a lot of outfits to be held in front of us. I chose to wear a skirt and a blouse while Lola picked a dress. I chose to have my hair straight and matching heels to the fit. "Are you going to tell us what's going on?" Lola asked.
Aurelia simply stared at us and took a deep breath. "You both look amazing. Like royals," she sigh with a smile. "We're going to court," she finally told us.
I frowned, knowing the only reason for us to be going there is for Estat. "Moni?" Lola called, tilting my head up. "How do you feel about this?" She asked while rubbing the side of my face. "I wish I was prepared for this, but I feel like that we have to learn how to prepare to be unprepared," I chuckled then stole a quick kiss.
"You look stunning by the way," I whispered in her ear. When she pulled away, her lips were perched to hide her cute smile. "Thank you, baby. You look beautiful," she complimented. "Not as you, though. How long will it take to get there?" I asked Aurelia.
She cleared her throat and looked away from us. "Well, it depends. Would you like to arrive on time or early?" She asked.
I turned to Lola and crossed my arms. "You want to be there on time to avoid looking at Estat, but you want to have a good image on yourself if we arrive early," Lola quickly spoke.
My mouth immediately hung open as she put on her cute thinking face. "How did you know?" I blushed. "It's reasonable and you over think a lot," she replies with a smile. I bit my bottom lip then helped her put on her gloss.
"I'm down with whatever makes you comfortable, baby," Lola sigh. "Okay, let's go a little early then," I gulped. "Alright, come on," she whispered, locking our hands together. "Glad that you two can come to agreements," Aurelia hummed.
While we drove to what I expected to be a courthouse, I held Lola's hand and rested my head on her shoulder. "O negative?" Aurelia asked while holding up a black wine bottle. "What's the difference?" I asked, grabbed a wine glass.
"The difference is so faint, but it determines how long your hunger last. O negative and positive are delegacies," she informed us. "Well, I will like a glass too then," Lola snickered. All three of us fed ourselves and talked about everything except for the court and Estat.
It was something I personally needed, but that was short lived because the car stopped. My door was opened, and I stepped out and saw a very old, abandoned building. Lola let out a hum and grabbed my hand. "I'm right here," Lola whispered.
I took a deep breath and wait for Aurelia to walk in front of us. "Right this way," she sighs lifting a hand. The doors immediately opened and to say that it was packed would be an understatement. Everyone went quiet and looked our way.
"Carry on. Court is in five more minutes," she told all of them. There were so many vampires here. Some people I recognized from social media and some from political debates. "Right this way, ladies," Aurelia said.
We followed her to a secluded spot and sat down. Lola leaned over and fixed my hair, making me smile and kiss her cheek. "Thank you, love. Why haven't I put a ring on your finger yet?" I joked. "Because I'm going to put one on you first," she giggled.
I immediately blushed and went to give her a quick kiss, but Aurelia cleared her throat. She grabbed both of our hands and made us stand up. "Follow me this way," she softly voiced while everyone began walking towards this large basement.
