The alarm was ringing very loud. People could definitely hear its noise outside of the modern apartment on the 21st floor, in a great building which was located in the center of New York.

The alarm's sound was very disturbing. It made a brunette in the bed groan and wake up. The boy opened his brown eyes and messed with his already tousled hair. He turned off the sound and groaned again. He got up and made his bed, opened his cupboard, where the clothes were put in a perfectly organized way; took pairs of jeans and a black sweatshirt. He was tall, slim, and very handsome, with endearing eyes. He took off his sleeping T-Shirt and trousers. He had veiny hands and a muscular body. He was heading to the GYM at eleven o'clock, so he had to get up pretty early...

In fifteen minutes he was sitting in the kitchen, eating waffles with blueberries, looking all grumpy in the morning. He drank some coffee and put some protein bars in his backpack along with his gym shirt. After, he left his apartment and went downstairs by elevator. A funny-looking old lady, Adrianne Collins, the brunette boy's kind neighbor was also in the lift.

-Hello, Mrs. Collins- the boy smiled-how are you?

-Oh, hello, Marshall, dear. I am doing very well. What about you?

-Fine, thanks-he replied with a handsome smile-Let me help you with this garbage bag-Marshall took the woman's heavy trash bag. Mrs. Collins's day would start with getting up and going outside to take out the garbage. After she'd go grocery shopping.

-Oh, thank you, Marshall, my boy-Adrianne smiled. She was an adorable seventy-five years old grandma.

Marshall threw the bag for her, which made the woman feel very thankful, so she handed him the mint candies she always carried in her handbag.

Marshall knew that old women would get very mad if you wouldn't take their gifts, so he said thanks and put a tasty candy in his mouth.

He quickly said goodbye to Adrianne, realizing that he'd be late, so he rushed to his new car fast and drew to the gymnasium. He bought the Jaguar car because his mom said so. How funny it shouldn't sound, that was true. Marshall was never buying things for himself after he bought the new apartment. He stopped treating himself as he was treating others. So his mom was confronting him daily to buy something he wanted. He had left the job two days ago and his parents, Audrey and Arthur, supported him a lot. He was an entrepreneur, but he got so tired of his job that he decided to leave.

His mother, Audrey, and father, Arthur, were both lawyers. Audrey had left the job for fifteen years when she was raising her children, Marshall, and his younger sister Annie, who was now twenty-one and was learning at University. Marshal was twenty-six and was very successful, but now he was going to a new job, so nobody knew his future. But everyone was sure that she would be the best and the most hardworking person in the company...

...He closed his car and stepped into the gymnasium. He went straight to his favorite spot in that place. He started working out and got lots of glares from the girls. They were gossiping and looking at him. Marshall hated those types of women. He liked natural girls with no filters.

After two long hours of exercising, he decided to stop and visit his sister, who had an apartment near the central park.

He literally jumped in the car and headed to Annie's place. On the way, he was listening to Biggie Smalls's Hypnotize and vibing on that song...

He wanted to walk by foot from Starbucks to Annie's home, so he parked his car, went to the cafe, bought hot chocolate for him and his sibling, and peacefully continued his way.

Out of nowhere, a golden retriever jumped on him and made him spill one of his cups of cocoa. the retriever started licking his face and chocolate on the ground.

-Thor!-a girl's angry voice made Marshall realize what happened-How dare you?!

And it was the moment when Liv Jenkins met Marshall Broadfield.

-Hey, watch out, silly dog-Marshall loved dogs but his grumpy mood became angrier.

-Hey, do not call my dog silly!-Liv became mad as well-I am extremely sorry, but what can I do?! I will buy you whatever this liquid was, don't worry!

-I don't need it, thanks-Marshall stood up and said sorry for being rude as well.

-Too late for being sorry, Mr...

-Marshall. Marshall Broadfield.

-Nevermind, but try not to be so moody to others-Liv sighed-Loki, Thor, c'mon!

The dogs followed her. Loki, who was more energetic was going with the leash, but Thor who was supposed to be more clever was normally following his human.

-Augh-Marshall rolled his eyes. The dogs were adorable though. But the owner was prettier...
