~A new beginning~ pixie and Brutus

Howling

You tilt your head when you see pixie walking toward you with sleep in her eyes, it was in the middle of the night on a particularly cold day, so it was odd of her to come down here, especially when your cave is 10 minutes away from the house, and walking at night at this time is quite reckless as well, the kitten curled up in your tail as you looked at her in curiosity.

"Pup, why are you here, and where is Brutus?"

You say gently, she yawned and curled up further in your tail before speaking quietly.

"Can't sleep, I also wanted to know why are you doing that thing that you do at night?"

You raise a brow at her, before realizing what she meant, chuckling at her sleepy voice.

"Do you mean when I howl?" She nodded.

"Well I tend to do that so that I can talk to my pack from far away, and sometimes, I do it for fun"

You say quietly, letting out a chuckle when she tilts her head in curiosity.

"Do you want to try?" She nodded.

"Well then, stand straight, take a deep breath, and howl, like this"

You say, taking a deep breath and letting out a loud howl, almost immediately a few other howls can be heard from far away, you look back at pixie and smile when she tries to howl, not a good one but one at that.

"C'mon pup, do it from the bottom of your heart!"

You say whilst chuckling, showing once again how to howl, at her third try she let out a howl, one that left a few wolves curious as to who it is.

"Let's go pup, it's already getting late"

You say as the small kitten let out a yawn, carefully you pick her up by her neck, trotting back to the house with the sleeping kitten on your back.
