~A new beginning~ pixie and Brutus

Resting

"Jesus..." You say opening your eyes to see that you are in a bed and bandages "Christ...?" You murmured to yourself and sniff the bed that you are in, the bed was comfortable and made for big dogs so it must be Brutus's, and once you got the scent you memorized it to be Brutus.

You shake your head to get rid of the thought of him letting you use something of his, a light blush covers your snout, and you're thankful that no one is here to see you. (you know like in the comics)

Standing up you whimper slightly because of the pain in your stomach and when you look you are shaken to the core to see that you had bandages wrapped around you when you see closely you see crimson stains on your bandages.

'It doesn't seem fresh so the bleeding stopped then'

You thought and you hear someone walking in your direction when the door opens you panic slightly and stand in a defensive position to see who it may be.

"It's just me joy you can relax now," Brutus said peeking to make sure that you're ok "can I... come in?" He said softly to not agitate you, you nod and sit whimpering when you did so.

When he comes in the checked your wounds and when he saw that the blood dried off he sights his body relaxing at the same time.

You were gonna say something of like, what happened? Or where am I? But he cuts you off.

"You passed out of blood loss and my master took you to the vet, now they said to let you here to recover," he said softly and you nod and try to walk to where he came from but he stops you by standing in front of the door and he looks up and down of you. You put your tail slightly in between your legs, getting nervous about his intense on you.

"Go back to sleep in my bed it's more comfortable than the couch," he says and your heart melts from his kindness, you try to refuse but he cuts you off again "it's a command aster," he says in a voice the leaves no room for negotiations and you sight and walk back to the bed.

Three weeks of recovering, three weeks to see that Brutus was a kind-hearted dog, you see the way he plays with pixie, the way he had changed, he sometimes gives you lingering looks, and when you turn around he looks at another thing to hide his blush.

You and Lola became good friends but she's too...well energetic to get along easily now you understand why wrinkle is always annoyed with her.

You kept looking at Brutus and the new neighbor dexter you think it was his name, he looked like Brutus but without the scars and had less fur.

'A Belgian Shepard'

You thought and silently laughed at Brutus for saying backpack to the dog just because he's more portable as the dog said.

'Well he isn't lying being more portable is nothing if you are not strong or intelligent enough to battle' You thought.

"Hey, are you listening?" Reluctantly looking away from Brutus you look back at wrinkles and he gives you a knowing look.

"Mhm? Oh uhh sorry I zoned out for a bit" you say trying not to stutter or sound nervous.

"Mhm yeah zoned out....." He said looking at Brutus before looking at you "do you like him joy?" He says smirking and you look away from him, hiding the blush.

"Wha- what? N-no why would you think that?" You say, silently regretting stuttering in front of him.

"Because your blushing that's why aster, I've seen the way you look at him, watching his every move and smiling when he looks at you," he says as-a-matter-of-fact-ly and you sight, knowing that you got caught.

"Look yes I do like Brutus but we can't work because of our breeds, he's a German Shepherd and I'm a wolf," you say and look back at him your eyes peeled him no to tell him, and he sights shaking his head.

"Fine I won't tell him but you have to before the opportunity goes away ok? I'm looking out for you." He says his voice tinted with concern and you smile and nod.

"Guys I'm home!" You hear the familiar voice of Brutus' master and you and Brutus walk back to the door with pixie on his back sleeping.

When you entered you see tony(master) grinning at you and you jump on the couch and lay down while Brutus does the same.

You hear shuffling and footsteps towards you and when you look up you see that Tony has a collar on his hand and you look puzzled at him.

"This is for your joy! Welcome to the family"

Tony says happiness in his voice is evident and he puts the collar on you and when you look down at the collar you see that it has the color deep blue and some grey dints poking out and see the tag that's embedded on the collar so it doesn't make a sound.

He pets your head and goes to his room for god knows what.

"Yay! Now you are part of our family!!" Pixie says and hugs your neck and Brutus chuckles at the expression on your face. You look at him accusingly as if to say 'did you know about this?'.

He shakes his head and gives you a warm smile, the one that makes your keens weak and you return the smile at him.

"Ok, I may have forgotten to tell you about this..." Brutus says softly and you roll your eyes at him.

"Tu crees?" You say in Spanish and Lay your head down and close your eyes letting slumber take you. (you think?)

You wake up with a yawn and step down from the couch and walk around seeing and hearing nothing in the house and you start to get worried for some unknown reason.

You keep walking around until you hear a squeak outside and you run out the doggie door and find yourself relieved to see pixie with Lola but Brutus is nowhere around pixie and you walk towards the kitten.

"Hey, have you seen Brutus anywhere?" You say your voice full of concern and confusion and Lola looks at you before giving you a shepests smile before answering.

"Well hello, aster, your mate said before he left that he will see the neighbors dog that I think is a German Shepherd and a girl," Lola says and winks at you when she said mate and you take a step back and turn your head away from her as to not see the blush.

And then you focus on the words she said

'A female German Shepherd...this can't end well'

You think and walk away from her making sure that she stays with pixie.
