a few weeks later...
"Soo, Meredith" smiled Richard when Meredith closed the door of his office. "Dr.Webber" she smiled, "How've you been?" he asked "I've been doing fine, thanks" smiled Meredith. "Okay, straight to buisness then huh?" chuckled Richard "Everyone has choosen their specialty, but you're still jumping around, Cristina has cardio, Izzie has OBGYN, George has Trauma, Alex has Peds, but where are your thoughts jumping at?" asked Richard while folding his hands. "I know i've been jumping around between neuro and general, but i like both" sighed Meredith, "You'd be amazing at both specialties" smiled Richard. "But the boards are coming up, and it's time to pick Meredith" stated Richard now turning seriously, "I'll think about it" sighed Meredith, she turned around and left Richard's office.
"Hey Mer, what did Richard want?" asked Derek while kissing Meredith's cheek. "What specialty i'm picking after our boards next month" sighed Meredith while scribbeling something on a chart. "Come to the neurological side" chuckled Derek with an evil smile, "Come to the general side" chuckled Miranda whom appeared behind Derek "Hey ssh, it's my time to recruit" smiled Derek to Miranda. "Go somewhere else with that hair of yours" stated Miranda Bailey, Derek stared at Miranda, Derek lay his hand on her shoulder and laughed evil "Meredith is mine" Derek, Meredith and Miranda turned around to see a huge trauma coming in. "Right pupil is blown, trauma to head and abdamon an-" shouted the paramedic, another paramedic came running in with a bag in his hand "and a severed foot" he shouted. "Let's get this show on the road then" sighed Derek, Miranda Meredith and Derek ran up to the victim " 27 year old female, Denice Windley" shouted the paramedic while everyone put her into trauma room 3. "Is her foot to be saved?" asked Derek in a rush while looking at Callie "Uhh.." sighed Callie while taking a look at the stomp "No, arteries and veins are all shut down, they are no use" sighed Callie, "I'll finish the ampute in the OR, but first get her up to CT and run her labs" shouted Callie "Call CT that we're coming up" said Derek to a nurse.
Derek groaned annoyed, he looked at the printed CT : a massive brainbleed. "I can remove it but its a risk" sighed Derek while ticking a pen to his head, "Are you willing to take the risk?" asked Meredith while sitting down on the corner of the table. "Yes" Derek said after a minute of hesitation "Call OR 1 that we're coming up" stated Derek, "Dr.Torres, can you fix her severed foot in there at the same time?" asked Derek. "Yes!" smiled Callie, Meredith called up to an OR and they went on and rolled Denice up to OR 1.
After the surgery...
Meredith walked into Denice's room after an hour of surgery, she checked the pump and adjusted her medicine, when she put that in her chart she saw Denice's eyes slowly open. She looked around scared, her pupils grew wide and she opened her mouth "Where am i" she finally managed to say, still sounding hoarse. "Your at Seattle Grace Mercy West, hospital" smiled Meredith while sitting down next to Denice "Why?" she asked. "A drunken driver rode trough a red light and crashed you of your bike" sighed Meredith, while laying her hand on Denice's hand, "What is wrong with me?" asked Denice. "You had a brain bleed, that Doctor Shepherd and i fixed, you have to have surgery to your abdamon tomorrow, a-and your foot was severed from your body and it was unselvageble, you lost your foot" sighed Meredith nervous. "GO AWAY" shouted Denice suddenly mad, "GO" she shouted again.
Meredith paged Derek and waited for hom to arive, "What's the emergency?" asked Derek, "Denice, Denice Windley, she's awake, i told her about the extent of her injuries, and she freaked out, but you still need to do a full neuro exam on her" sighed Meredith, "Come with me" smiled Derek dreamy as usual. Derek walked into Denice's room "Good evening Denice, i'm doctor Shepherd, and i'm the neurosurgeont on your case, my resident : doctor Grey is going to do the exam and i'll be supervising her" stated Derek serious, but quickly adding a smile, Denice opened her eyes and followed the light Meredith was holding up. "Can you squeeze my hands please?" asked Meredith, "Firm grip" muttered Meredith while scribbeling it down on Denice's chart. "Everything looks good right now, i'm going to do this exact exam in 3 hours to check for changes, okay?" asked Meredith, "Yeah, okay.. fine" sighed Denice.

Meredith got into bed next to Derek with a sigh, "What's up?" asked Derek while putting his magazine about racing away. "I can't get that patient out of my head, she has no one" sighed Meredith while placing her head on Derek's shoulder. "No one? mother? father? sibblings? none?" asked Derek, "Parents died, and no sibblings" sighed Meredith while pushing a stray of hair out of her face. "We'll just have to be there for her recovery process then" stated Derek while kissing Meredith's temple,
Meredith woke up by the sound of their alarm, Meredith got out first so she could get into the shower first, Derek managed to slip in the shower unnoticed so when Meredith was undressed the shower was already on, Meredith got into the shower and lay her hands on Derek's hips from behind. Meredith pushed the front of her body to the back of Derek's body and slowly explored her hands over the front of Derek's mascular body. Derek turned Meredith around roughly, kissing her everywhere he could, they were both moaning in pleasure while Derek moved his hands to Meredith's hips and stroke her hips as an attempt of teasing Meredith. Meredith pushed Derek's hand inside of her and kissed Derek's neck, Derek started moving real fast and Meredith became tighter and tighter "Ahh Derek" she moaned in pleasure, she came all over Derek's hand within a minute. Meredith got down on her knees and sucked Derek until he came, Meredith spit it out and climbed out of the shower feeling better the ever.
Derek came downstairs and grinned evil when he stared at Meredith "Hey baby" smiled Derek while kissing Emma's forehead. Derek kissed Rachel and Lucas and sat down across of Meredith at the dining table, Derek moved his feet over Meredith's while they ate their breakfast. "I'm going to get in early, want to check on Denice before i start rounds with my idiotic group of interns" sighed Meredith, "Want me to drive?" asked Derek " if you want, the nanny is coming in 5 minutes and i'm leaving in 10" smiled Meredith while taking her plate to the sink
"Hey Denice, Morning" smiled Meredith, "Morning" smiled Denice weak. "How did you sleep?" asked Meredith while pushing her hair up in a tight ponytail, "Could've slept better, but given the circumstances, i guess i'd say okay" stated Denice while turning around a little in her hospital bed. "Don't you have docter-y stuff to do?" asked Denice clearly curious, "I came in early to check on you before doing rounda with my interns" smiled Meredith, "Cool i used to watch ER, but when are you becoming an attending then, because only residents have interns as i rememberd corectly from ER " smiled Denice clearly happy to know somethimg about something. "I have my boards in a month, and then i have to pick a specialty and become a fellow" smiled Meredith, "What are you picking?" asked Denice interested, " Or Neuro, or General" smiled Meredith, "Neuro is the brainy surgeont right? like the hot one who operated on me? do you know if he's single by the way?" asked Denice. "He isn't single" chuckled Meredith, "Ah crap, is he dating that skanky red head nurse : Rose? if i recall corectly, because she always stares at him" stated Denice thinking about that nurse. "I'm sure he isn't, because i'm married to that hot brainy surgeont" chuckled Meredith while checking Denice's chart. "Ah niiiice one you got there" she state chuckeling, "I know, i'm blessed" smiled Meredith. "You two have kids or something?" asked Denice, "Are we doing 21 questions?" asked Meredith "and yes we have kids, Emma is 7 and Rachel and Lucas are both 2 and a half" added Meredith. "Awh i want to have three kids too" stated Denice " 2 boys and a girl, i'd call them Ryan, Leon and Jessica" smiled Denice. "Those are beautifull names, those little things are the things your fighting for right now Denice" stated Meredith, "Yes.." smiled Denice hesitant.
