Mondays are normally not as dreadful as they are today, and it has everything to do with the man I left in my bed this morning. He's not a morning person, and that doesn't really help my motivation to get out of bed. I'm not a morning person either, therefore, he was able to pull me back to bed twice rather easily. First time he just snogged the shit out of me, the second time he made sure the persistent heat in between my legs was taken care of.
Safe to say, I was late. My first canvas was already waiting for me when I ran into the shop, and Densel wasn't happy with me. It's understandable; I hate it when people are late, and I always make an effort on being on time.
Luckily for me, my last canvas was canceled due to some family issues, so I'm heading home a little earlier than expected. It's a plus for me, but also for Densel; I could tell he didn't have his day either, so the atmosphere in the shop wasn't great. We have that ever so often, and we're always good the next day, so I have no worries this time will be the same.
But I have to admit, being on my way home makes me feel a hell of a lot better because I know Hero's home.
I'm eager, he's lighted something in me that's addictive. The whole day, both during tattooing and sketching, I thought about him and what I want to do with him. The little flick of his fingers that he gave me this morning wasn't nearly enough. Now that I can have him without worrying about scores and winning, I need him at least twice a day, but more would be totally fine too.
As I walk into the underground, I fish my phone from my pocket. I'm hungry, and I'm craving carbs. And since I think my roommates will be just as hungry, I open the group chat and ask them if they're all down for my famous chickenburgers with feta.
It takes all but two seconds for Morgz to reply that he's down, and Felix follows suit, also telling me that he and Mylena are hungry. Mylena's been staying the night again, and I have a feeling she'll not leave anytime soon. I know Felix crashed at hers a few times as well, but she told me Saturday that she lives with her parents still. They are working a lot though, so I don't think she's bothered by it, but let's be honest; our house is awesome, so I don't blame her for staying over as much as she does.
I don't mind her being around; she is great. Saturday, I got to know Mylena and Holly a bit better, and the three of us click. By the end of our first glass of wine, we'd moved to the kitchen, leaving the guys alone with their tournament.
Mylena works with children, at a daycare in her old neighborhood. She's kind but has that sass that I can relate to so much. Holly works with data, something that I didn't expect. She's smart, kind, and has Jack wrapped around her finger.
I just know Mia would like them too.
Just as I look at the screen of my phone again, Hero calls. I let it go for about two times for the show, and then I answer.
"Hi," I greet, the excitement audible in my tone. On the other end, I know Hero hears it too because he chuckles.
"Ello. Off to home, I see."
"Yeah, waiting for the train now. How's your day been?" I ask while I check the time. The train will arrive in three minutes, so it's just a short wait.
"Calm," he replies. "Actually it's only about to start. I have a few zoom meetings starting around seven, so I don't think I'll be able to eat dinner with you guys. I can eat a burger after though."
"Oh, okay." I don't want to sound as disappointed as I do. It's only been two fucking days since we made up, for heaven's sake. I'm being desperate. "Are you doing them from home or..."
Lay it on thick, Jo. Jeez.
"Yeah, yeah. I'll be in my room," he tells me, and after a short silence, he adds, "You can chill with me? I mean, as long as you don't sit in view, you can keep me company silently."
