"I think this is the last one," Cooper informs while walking into my new room, a medium-sized box filled with shoes in his hands.
I nod in confirmation. "Yeah, it is. So, what do you guys think?"
Mia, who was already in my room, and Cooper are both nodding their head. Mia even claps her hands too, telling me she approves of my new residence. "Jo, it's perfect. I think it's even a little bigger than the room you got at mine's."
I look around too. Even though there are boxes and two suitcases filling one corner of the room, I think she is right. It's not much bigger than my old room, but it's bigger nonetheless.
Cooper and Felix were so kind to carry my bed upstairs and Cooper also put it back together since it had to be separated for the move. It's already standing in the right corner, in front of the windows, and I still have plenty of space to put in a small couch
There already was a closet in the room, and thankfully it has enough space, so I left my old one at Mia's.
The bathroom isn't big, but it has everything I need. A walk-in shower, a sink with a cabinet, and a toilet. The wall tiles of the bathroom are white, and the floor ones are blue, which reminds me of the kitchen downstairs. It's not new-new, but it's clean and it all works.
"Need me to install your tv, Jo?" Cooper pipes up. He's already going through the box which contains the wires, and I have to admit that the guilt is kicking in, again.
Cooper and Mia have been a great help. A genuine, great help. Mia has been helping me pack my clothes and stuff for two days, and Cooper has sacrificed his weekend to help me move as well.
And I realize now that he is actually a great guy. I think I was too stubborn to see it when I lived with them those few weeks, but now I do. He's great, and I might even go as far as calling him a potential friend.
"If you want," I answer, knowing that if he doesn't help me, I'll have to ask one of my new roommates to do it. I'm as a-technical as they come.
"Yeah, no problem." His hands are already full with wires and the remote, which he all dumps on the bed before going for the tv, which stands against the wall.
"Come on, Jo, let's get us some drinks, and then we can do your clothes," Mia excitedly says as she throws her arm around my neck. "We're thirsty. You want a beer, babe?"
Cooper hums in a yes, a small, endeared smile thrown Mia's way while his cheeks turn a little pink before he focuses on the tv once more.
Seriously, where did she get this perfect mannered, shy, sweet guy? The last time I checked, she screwed assholes, just like me.
After Mia has pulled me out of my room and as we're walking down the stairs, I can't help but tease her a bit. "And he even blushes?! Who is this guy, bimbo?"
Mia giggles and shakes her head, her head bowed so she sees the steps she takes. "Shut up. He is so sweet, I want to cry." She then abruptly stops, making me bump into her. "But then, when we're in bed, he turns into this beast that spanks me and calls me a good girl. It's remarkable really. Maybe even daddy-material."
"Your daddy, I hope?" I giggle, and when she doesn't confirm or deny, I push her aside so I can take the last few steps. "Girl, too early for baby talk. Don't even think about it."
"Okay, okay, not now," Mia agrees while following me into the kitchen. I notice that the fridge is open, but since I'm too focused on Mia, I don't really register it properly. "I'll gladly call him daddy after a firm spank."
"As you should. And tell him thank you for fixing my tv." I giggle, and at the same time, a mob of brown hair appears from behind the fridge, followed by a naked back, and hips that are folded in a white towel.
