"It's fucking cold, bruh," Felix complains before he lits his cigarette. He's reading my thoughts; the temperature has dropped a good few degrees since I came back from Madrid.
"It is," I therefore agree, taking his lighter from him to light my own stick.
It's quite windy in London, and since I didn't get the memo, I'm only wearing a shirt. It's good that Felix and I came out here to kick some ball, so at least I can warm up while playing some footie.
"So, Madrid was fun? Morgz had a blast, for sure." Felix smirks while he shakes his head. "My guy has been editing for life."
I chuckle as I think about the short trip to Madrid. Jamie told me I could take someone, and since Morgz has always been very interested in those aspects of my job, I took him along. He asked to make a vlog about it too, and I agreed if he'd show me the bits he's gonna use.
We don't want any fucking drama after all.
Of course, Morgz wasn't my first choice to ask along, although he doesn't know that. The moment Jamie told me to bring someone, my mind went to Jo instantly. Even before I'd asked her, I saw the two of us wandering in those streets of Madrid, hand in hand, just to make sure she knows I want to take her anywhere.
But planning proved to be bloody unlucky; she had an ink convention in Manchester on both days I was expected in Madrid. It's safe to say I was fucking disappointed when she told me, and I think I saw some of that disappointment linger on her features as well.
Immediately, she went on explaining that the convention was planned months ago and that she didn't want to cancel because it was Densel that arranged the whole thing. Of course, I didn't want her to cancel either, so we just agreed she'd come with me next time Jamie tells me there is a seat available.
"Bruh, you should've seen him. He felt like a fucking rockstar, I bet." I've known Morgz for most of my life, and I know that when he's impressed and excited, he turns downright awkward. His humor is horrible and he's the worst with timing, but I can't help but laugh every fucking time. "Did you enjoy having the house for yourself?"
At this, Felix cheeks color, and I just know it has something to do with Mylena. He seems to think about his choice of words for a little bit, but then, he smiles softly. "Yeah. I mean, we... Yeah..."
I smirk. "Yeah? Just yeah? Go on, bruh. Spit it out."
My guy blushes, and it's just fucking hilarious. I know my reactions to Jo and how she makes me feel are something too, but Felix is definitely winning here. He's a fucking puss for her, and I'm beginning to wonder how I missed it the first few weeks.
"I mean, it's nice being with just her, you know? Don't get me wrong, living with you and Morgz and Jo is lit, but being alone with Mylena is just... It feels right, you know? And since she's with her parents still, I told her I'd have a chat with you and Morgz about her staying with us. Like permanent."
After his whole riddle, which he throws out in a ramble, is done, he finally looks at me again. He's nervous, I can tell on everything, and I'm seriously wondering why.
But me being the giant prick I am, I can't resist.
"You want her to move in with us? Like, for real? With her shit and all?" I take a deep tug of my cigarette to hide the fact I'm almost breaking out in a smile.
Just like I expected, Felix's expression shifts. He frowns, and then he seems to repeat his words in his head to make sure he said the right thing. And then he nods. "I mean, yeah. Are you cool with that? You won't know she's there, man. She'll be in my room, and I make sure-"
