Rejected, mom missing and neglected

This is a long one xo

I was having a bad day so I went to Colby's house. He makes me happy, he makes me laugh and such.

I got to his door and I obviously knocked. Some girl answered. "Um? Hi?" She said. "Hi? Uhh is Colby in? I need to talk to him" I said politely. "Um. He's busy" she said and about to close the door, that was until Colby jogged to the door. "Sam" he said happily. "What you doing here?" He asked. "I just needed someone to talk too" I said. "Go to someone else" this girl said. "Uhh" I stuttered. "Sam, would it be okay if you went home forra bit and I come over later?" Colby said.

My heart sank.

I was hoping he would have sent her home and let me vent to him and stuff, but it doesn't matter. I guess it could wait. But then, could it?

My mom wasn't home and and my dad was no where to be found. He abandoned me when I was 5, he just never showed up when he went to work that day.

I got home and went upstairs and just went straight to sleep. I couldn't be bothered to eat, shower, brush my teeth or to get changed. I was too sad.
I woke up the next day with no notifications, Colby said that he would have came over and he knows where the spare key is. Looks like he doesn't care as much as I thought he did.

It was 6 in the morning and I decided to get up as I no longer feel tired. I got a shower and got changed into clean clothes. I went into my moms room and saw she wasn't in there. Looks like she didn't turn up either. I took a deep breath and I grabbed my keys and left the house. I got into my car and drove for a while. I didn't have school until 8AM so I had some time to kill.

I just wanted tell Colby that I was rejected my Katrina and I felt sad about it. But I realised I needed to look for my mom. So I drove around town looking out for her, she left with her friend last night and so, I reversed and went the other direction and went to my moms friends house. When I got there I banged on the door so she could hear me.

"Can I help you" she said annoyed that I woke her up. "Is my mom there" I asked. "No, she went home with some guy" "right. Thanks" "sure" and she slapped the door in my face. I sighed and got back into my car. "I need some gas"

I drove to the gas station and I put 50 in. Giving me a full tank. It was now 7:13 in the morning and I still had a good 45 minutes. I drove back home and freshened myself up. I still heard nothing from Colby and it was hurting me a little. I grabbed my backpack and my phone charger and left the house again. I drove to Colby's house again and knocked on the door.

He answered tiredly "hi"
"Hi" I said, smiling with the worst pain in it. "Wanna get taken to school today? I'm driving" i asked in hopes he would.
"I would love too but-"
Oh knew this would happen.
"Never mind then" I said. Dropping my arms. "I'm sorry Sam. I'm just taking Alissa this morning" "yeh yeh. Cool" not wanting to hear it anymore.

I got to school. 7:56AM
I sat in my car. Trying to hold back tears. I was rejected by Katrina, I can't find my mom and Colby-he's not around anymore.

7:58AM. It was now pouring outside now. It started raining when I tried to find a parking spot, I did see Colby's car but he never waited for me when we did drive separately.

8:00AM.

I got out my car and locked it. I walked through the gates, being the last one in and went straight to English class. I got in 5 minutes late. Colby was sat next to Alissa and there wasn't any seats left. "Sam you're late- oh, are you okay?" I looked up looking at my teacher, straight in the eye. "I'm fine. It's just raining out" "oh okay. Well there's a seat in the back, can you see it"
Oh there was a seat left.

I nodded and took the seat, seeing Colby and Alissa laughing together. Sure do miss my best friend.

It was revision day since our mocks were next week so I took out all my text books and placed them on the desk and I started studying.

I pulled out my phone And I read the time.

8:34AM

I put some earphones in and put my phone on charge and listened to some music.

I felt a tap on my shoulder and it was Alissa. "Excuse me" she snarled. I pulled my earphone out and look up, "what" "don't you talk to me like that" oh I can not be arsed with this. "What do you want" "can you move, your sadness is radiating off of you" I rolled my eyes. "Shame" and put my ear phone back in.

I felt another tap on my shoulder and I pulled my earphone out again. "What?" I said really annoyed. Seeing it was Colby, my eyes soften a little bit. "Why where you rude to Alissa" he asked annoyed

"Because she was being rude to me?"
I saw her smiling at me and I glared at her. "Listen man I don't know your problem, but would you-"

"No, you're right. You don't know my problem. That's because you haven't been around to find out why I'm this way recently. If you had enough respect for me as for her, maybe you would have a slight insight in that small dim brain of yours why I would be grouchy, angry, upset, annoyed, no Colby, you've been a bad friend recently and it's pissing me off, you're right. You don't know what my problem is, but you're becoming one because you're not showing an ounce of care in the world like you used too" I packed my stuff and I walked out the classroom. I went to the head office to give me my work for the day, said I wasn't feeling well and went home.

When I got home, it was still empty and I screamed in anger. "Where the fuck is she?" I yelled. I threw all my papers on the floor and left the house. I drove for miles, money after money in the tank asking many people if they'd seen my mom. Show them pictures, give descriptions of who she is and what she looks like. Nothing.

I drove for hours looking for her and I couldn't find her. So I drove home, and dialled 911 and when I was about to press call I saw my mom and Colby in the kitchen.

"Hi love" she said hung-overly. "Where the fuck have you been? I've been looking for you all day" I said angrily. "Woah sammy, wanna calm down" she said. "No I won't calm down. You are, no you both are taking the piss outta me. You were gone of almost 2 days and I'm struggling for my dear life and non of you give a fuck. Give me one good reason why I sho-"

I was cut off immediately with Colby jumping on me with the biggest hug "amma leave you two be, and Sam. When your done with that attitude, I'll tell you why I've been gone for so long okay?" And she walked off, going upstairs in her room. "I'm sorry Sam"

The hug got so tight and I had no room to move, I feel backwards trying to take a step. This bastard stepped on my shoe and undid my laces. "Dude, you just technically stood on me" I laughed. "Hey your laughing he said happily. "Well I found it funny and I'm still mad at you" I said. Crossing my arms.

"What can I do to make it up to you?" "Hm driving me to school for a month, and buying me lunch tomorrow after school" "deal" he smiled and hugged me again.
