A scruffle

I walk to university with a heavy bag attached to my shoulder. I don't really have the money to continuously get the bus, so if I walk, I'll save money. I see my uni and I started to run, hinting at the time, I'm gunna be running late if I continue to walk.

It's quite windy so my eyes are watering, and my vision has gone blurry.

I trip over, bumping into someone. I hit the floor quite hard and I smack my head right off the concrete. "Ow fuck" I mutter to myself. I get up and see a guy just sitting on the floor in a haze. "Hey, I'm so sorry, I'm running a little late to class, I am so sorry" I apologise, I gave him my hand for him to grab, he just pushed my hand away and got up himself. "It's fine, just next time, watch out okay?" He said softly, though I could tell he was pissed.

"Also, your lip is bleeding and may have a concussion, take it easy alright?" "Okay, thank you again I'm so sorry" I said. "It's okay. Just be careful" he smiled and walked away. I felt a little dizzy because I was running full speed and I did trip and fall really hard on the concrete, scraping my lip and whacking my head, it did hurt.

I get to class and I'm a few minutes late. Im feeling a little dizzy but I should just take it a little easy. "Sam? Are you okay? Your lip is bleeding" "yeh I'm okay, I just tripped" yeh wow, make it sound like you're getting abused. Well done sam.

I sit down and molly (my teacher) continues her lesson. I drink some water and lay back in my seat listening.

AFTER CLASS

I sit down in the cafeteria and lay my head down. I groan as my head is pounding.
"Is everything okay?" Kat asks me. "Yeh just got a raging headache" "need some pain killers?" She asked. "Yes please, my head hurts" she passes me a pack and gets up, "keep the pack, but I gotta go meet my boyfriend brennen outside, you gunna be okay?" "Yeh I'll be okay. I'll meet you out there in a few" "okay" she smiled at me.

I take 2 of ibuprofen and take sips of my water bottle and go outside to meet Kat and her boyfriend. He's a bit of a prick but he's good to her so I guess I've got nothing.

I find Kat and see the guy I hurt this morning. "Hey, you okay from this morning?" I ask, "yeh man. Are you? You seemed to of really hurt yourself" "yeh I'm okay. Just felt dizzy and had a raging headache. But it's calming down due to the fact Kat here helped me by giving me painkillers" I said
Damn I talk a lot.

"That's good to hear, least you didn't knock yourself out" he laughed and walked away.

"Say that again" I heard Brennen say yelling. I twist my head and saw Kat trying not to cry. So, I walk over. "Hey what's the ruckus? Literally half the school is looking" I say, of course trying too cool things down. "She doesn't know when to keep her mouth shut do you princess" he says, gripping her jaw. "Get your hands of her if your gunna grab her like that" I say, raising my voice. "What you gunna do about it? As far as I am concerned, she is mine and she does what I say" he yells. Most of the school is now looking.

I felt my blood boiling as a tear fell down kats face. I swung for him and my fist did hit his face, smacking him in the jaw. He stumbled away from me, holding his jaw.

He tried to hit me but I dodged it and kicked him with my back leg, sending him to the lockers. He ran towards me and we both land on the floor, he of course starts punching me while pinning me down.

I wouldn't mind this if he wasn't hitting me (🙄)

I literally can't do anything because I'm constantly attacked in the face and I LOVE that no one helped, I gave all my strength and rolled over, now he's the floor and I'm now strangling him.

"Talk to a girl like that again, I will not hesitate to kill you, you hear me?" I let go of his neck and he's gasping for air. I stand up. All dizzy. And with that concussion I had earlier, well still have. I fall. Raging headache coming back. And that feeling of throwing up. Yeh. Now I'm running to the bathroom.

I literally throw up because I made myself so dizzy. And I'm surprised no teacher stopped us, it went on long enough. But we live in America so?

"Sam?" I heard my name. It definitely wasn't Brennen, "in here" I called. It was the same guy and saw my face was a little bloody. "You alright?" It was that same guy. "Yeh, uh, what's your name?" I asked. "Colby" he said smiling.

"I saw you got in a fight with Brennen" "yeh I guess so" "you looked cool" he said, looking away. "Why you looking away" I say, grinning.

He only smiled at me and kissed on top of my forehead. And left.

I stand up and clean myself up and straighten my uniform. I noticed a piece of paper sticking out of my pocket and I pull it out.
It had a number.

I'm pretty sure it was Colby.

I smiled to myself and walked to my third period.
