It was another long day on the battlefield, and you were starting to get tired. As the medic for your team, you were constantly on the move, healing your teammates and keeping them in the fight. But even you had your limits, and you were starting to feel the effects of exhaustion.
Suddenly, you heard a voice calling your name. You turned to see the Medic running towards you.
"Hey, (Y/N), I've been looking for you," he said.
"What is it?" you asked, a little bit of worry creeping into your voice.
"I just wanted to check on you, make sure you're doing okay," he said. "You've been looking a little tired lately."
"I'm fine," you insisted, but the Medic wasn't convinced.
"Come on, let's sit down for a minute," he said, leading you over to a nearby crate. You reluctantly sat down, and the Medic began to check you over. He was gentle but thorough, making sure you were really okay.
"See, I told you I'm fine," you said when he was done.
"Yeah, you are," he said. "But that doesn't mean you shouldn't take a break every now and then."
"I know," you said. "I just don't want to let my team down."
"They wouldn't want you to exhaust yourself either," the Medic said. "Just take it easy for a little while, okay?"
You nodded, and the Medic helped you to your feet. You said your goodbyes and went back to your team, feeling a little better knowing that someone was looking out for you.

The next day, Scout was running around the battlefield like a maniac, as usual. You were keeping an eye on him, making sure he didn't get himself killed, when you saw him take a bullet to the leg. You ran over to him, and he tried to wave you off. "I'm fine, I'm fine," he insisted. But you could see the pain in his eyes, and you knew he wasn't fine. You quickly patched him up and helped him to the medic tent.
"See, I told you I was fine," Scout said as the Medic started to work on him. "You're not fine, you're hurt," you said. "And you're lucky I was there to help you."
"Yeah, I guess I am," Scout said. "Thanks, (Y/N)."
"No problem." You replied. Medic arrived on the scene as well, followed by Heavy.
"What is going on here?" Heavy asked. "Scout was shot," you said. "But I took care of him."
"Good work, (Y/N)," the Medic said. "You're a true asset to this team." You blushed a little at the compliment, but you were just happy to know that you could help your team, even when you were feeling tired.
"Thanks Medic." You said, and you meant it. He simply smiled in response, and went back to work. As Medic and Scout both walked away, Heavy approached you, an eyebrow raised. "Did he just call you 'true asset'?" He asked, clearly amused.
"I think he did," you said, still blushing a little. "Well, I think he's right," Heavy said. "You are a true asset to this team. We are lucky to have you." You smiled at Heavy's words, feeling a little bit better about yourself. Maybe you could make it through this day after all.
"Medic usually does not give compliments so freely. You must be truly special." Heavy said. You blushed harder at his words, but you couldn't help but feel happy. It was nice to know that your team appreciated you, even when you were feeling down.
----
It was now the weekend, and most of the team was taking a well-deserved break. You, however, were still on duty.
