"It all started when I was 15 1/2." I started.

"His name was Logan. We dated until a few months before my birthday this year but that was only when I stood up to him and finally built up the courage to leave him." I said, staying as strong as possible but still looking at the bed. I was not going to cry. I was determined not to. Harry grabbed my hands, trying to comfort me, and actually succeeding a bit. I looked up into his eyes for a second and he gave me the sweetest look. I knew I had to keep going.

"For the first 6 months our relationship was great. But one day, I was spending the night at his house, which took hours of convincing Lexi's parents even though I was emancipated, and everything was going okay until we ordered some food and I went to get the plates. I dropped one and it broke and he snapped. By the way, he was almost 19, so he had his own place. He freaked out and threw me against the wall. I was terrified and he told me that if I screamed he'd kill me. I never screamed. Ever. Through that whole year and a half. I cried. But I never screamed. One time I had to go to the ER and pay for it myself without Lexi's parents knowing because I needed stitches. But he beat me for a year and a half and finally I'd had enough and left him but I've had this wall up since the day it started. I had already had a messed up childhood and that just made it even worse. That's why Lexi is so glad you brought me out of my shell, even if it wasn't in a good way at first. And I'm glad you have in a good way now." I half smiled at a very confused but sympathetic Harry.

"I'm sorry. You don't deserve that." He whispered as he hugged me. I hugged him back.

"Thank you. It can't change anything that happened but it's nice to know you care. Anything else you want to know?" I told him quietly.

"Of course I care, Brooke. Do you have any scars from him?" He asked cautiously. I nodded and pulled up the leg of my sweatpants to show him a 1 inch long scar on my knee. Then I pulled my hair back and showed him a 2 1/2 inch scar on the middle going across the back of my head. His jaw dropped as he moved a part of my hair so he could see my scar.

"What the hell happened there?" He wondered, shocked.

"That was when I got stitches. He threw me back against a wall and I hit my head on something, it cut the back of my head open, and it left a scar." I said, shuddering at the memory. Harry pulled me back into him and we sat there like that for a while.

"You mentioned your messed up childhood. What did you mean? If you want to tell me." He said into my hair.

"My dad left us when I was 7. So it was just my mom and I. She became an alcoholic and I basically took care of myself for a while. She'd buy the food occasionally but for the most part I lived at Lexi's house. They paid for my dance lessons until I got a job and once I did get one I paid them back every cent." I explained and he just hugged me tighter.

"Again, sorry if I'm too touchy." He whispered in my ear. I immediately shook my head and kissed his cheek.

"A week ago I would've hated it. But I really do have feelings for you and I know you care." I whispered back.

"Of course I care. And I really have feelings for you too." He told me. I smiled and kissed him. We continued kissing and it got a little heated. Someone came in right as I pulled his shirt off.

"So I take it it went well?" Lexi asked quietly from the foot of the bed, scaring the hell out of Harry who didn't even know anyone came in. He jumped off me and almost fell off of the bed.

"Yeah. It went well." I smiled and Harry agreed.

"That's great. Harry, she never tells anyone that. My parents and I know about the thing with her parents, and only I know about the thing with Logan. She always hid the bruises from my parents and told me she couldn't tell them." She told Harry. He nodded and rubbed my back.
