Chapter 16-The Approval

Kylie's P.O.V.

After the kiss Niall and I shared last night, I've been feeling like I'm on top of the world. Until now. Copper just called me saying I need to go see him at his office. I told everyone I was just going out for a little. I'm now sitting in my car in the parking lot of where his office is, not wanting to go in.

I sigh and grab my phone and keys and get out of my car. I walk up to the door and slide my card in, that lets me enter. I walk passed the receptionist, and to Cooper's office, pausing at his closed door. I raise a hand and knock on the door.

"Come in!" Copper says from inside.

I walk into his office and see him sitting at his desk doing paperwork.

"Oh hey Kyles. Sit down." He says and points to the chair in front of his desk.

I walk over and sit down waiting for him to say something.

"I think you know why you're here, don't you?" He asks, putting his pen down and looking at me.

"Because of Niall and I..." I say quietly.

"What's going on between you two?" He asks with a serious expression.

"He likes me. I like him. We went on a date." I say simply.

"The boys aren't supposed to be dating either of you." He says.

"I know that and so does he. We didn't mean for this to happen. It just did. I'm sorry, Coop. I can't help it." I say with a sad face.

"I'm going to have to reassign you to a different case then, if you're going to date Niall." He tells me being dead serious.

I jump out of my seat and scream, "What?! That is not fair! Why the hell would you have to do that?!"

"Kylie. Please calm down. Sit back down and I'll tell you." He says and points to my chair. I sigh and slouch back down into the seat.

"You would be too personally involved in it. You would only want to protect Niall. But that's not what your job is. Your job is to protect all of them." He tells me.

"That is the biggest load of bullshit I have ever heard. Liam. He's my brother. He's related to me. That doesn't mean anything? He's actually family to me. You don't think that's going to change anything? I jumped in front of a bullet for Harry. I would have done that for any one of them and you know it." I say to him trying so hard not to raise my voice.

Cooper looks at my dumbfounded which makes me smirk. He knows I'm right. After a few minutes of him just staring at me, he finally sighs.

"Fine. You're right. I know you would take a bullet for any of them. I just needed to make sure that wouldn't change if you started dating him." Cooper says with a smile.

"Wait what? So this was all just a test of yours?" I ask him confused.

"Mostly. I also was being partly serious about reassigning you but I'm not going to. You can stay with the boys. But! If I find that you and Niall are disturbing your work. You will be reassigned." He says going all serious again.

"Sir, yes, sir!" I say and salute him trying not to jump up and down with happiness.

"Now if that boy hurts you in anyway. He better run and he better run fast because I'll be coming after him. With a gun." Coop says again being serious but I just roll my eyes.

"He's not going to hurt me, Coop." I tell him being honest.

"I know, Kyles. I know. Now give me a hug and get out of here. Go protect those boys. And don't forget to keep training!" He says and stands up.

He pulls me into a hug which I return. We say our goodbyes and I leave. I run back to my car and get in. I drive back to the house fast so I can tell Niall the news.

When I burst into the front door everyone is in the kitchen. They all turn and stare at me. McKenna, Harry, Louis, and Zayn are at the table and Liam and Niall are leaning against the counter.

"Hello everybody!" I chirp happily.

They all say their hellos or grunt them. I skip over to Niall and stand right in front of him. I wrap my arms around his neck, pulling him closer to him. I stand on my tiptoes and press my lips against his, lightly. He immediately starts kissing back, not caring that everyone is watching us and being annoying in the background.

When we pull away, I look into his beautiful blue eyes.

"I talked with Cooper. He's totally fine with us dating!" I tell Niall excitedly.

I see his face light up instantly.

"Kylie Payne, will you be my girlfriend?" He asks me which makes my heart beat ten times faster.

"Of course, Niall!" I say and crash my lips back down on his.

The kiss begins to get heated but Liam has to ruin it all.

"I'm standing right here people! I would rather not see my sister have sex with one of my best mates, thank you very much." Liam says to us which makes us pull away and blush slightly.

"Get used to it, bro." I tell him and pat his shoulder with a smirk.

He just rolls his eyes and sits down at the table. I look at the time and see its almost eleven in the morning.

I turn to McKenna and say, "Kenna. Cooper wants us to stay in shape and train. We haven't in a couple days so we probably should today."

"Yeah let's do it now. Lets go change." She says and stands up.

"I'll be back." I tell Niall and kiss his cheek.

"Wait! Can we train with you?" Niall asks.

I look at all of the boys who are giving is hopeful looks.

"You boys want to train with us? You sure you're up for that?" I ask with a small laugh.

They nod there heads fast. I turn to McKenna who shrugs telling me that she doesn't mind.

"Go put something loose on." I tell them which makes them cheer.

I give Niall one final peck on the lips and walk back to my room to change, closing the door behind me.

Okay, first off. I am so sorry it took me almost another month to update. I didn't think it had been that long but I guess it was. I know what's going to happen in the next chapter so I'll try really hard to update it by next week!

Second thing, you guys are amazing with all the reads I'm getting but you're lacking with the votes and comments! Those are the things that will motivate me to update more often. But if in only getting one or two votes per chapter and no comments then it'll take me a lot longer.

Third and final thing. I finished two of my other fanfics. You're My Kryptonite and The Letters. It would mean so much to me if you guys read those and told me what you think about them. Thank you so much!
