Fluke takes a deep breathe and relax as he got away. He is afraid of an alpha presence but he can't help but smile as he remember how Kao look at Earth. He takes another deep breathe before opening the door to the kitchen.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY FLUKE!!"
Fluke startle. Looks around and cover his mouth, as his co-workers-slash-friends greet him. Sammy, the chambermaid manager holds a small cake. Tears falling on his eyes as he close his eyes and blow the candle, "Thank you guys, you didn't know how much this mean to me. Thank you! Thank you!"
Fluke shyly hug each one of them as he wipe his tears. They continue to work.
Life goes on for Fluke. It's seems like yesterday it's his birthday and now, Christmas is just around the corner.
It's the end of his shift at the hotel. It's Christmas break at school so he plans to cook some chicken soup for his mother when he heard a giggle and familiar scent. Chocolate and roses. He turn around and smile.
"Fluke dear! Merry Christmas", Earth greet him and hug him at the same time. He hugs back. Yes, Earth and him become friends.
Fluke can see Kao from the distance. He still afraid of alphas but he's quite relax now when Kao is around.
"Earth - you know I can't accept this. I don't have anything that I can give to you and -", Fluke shaking his head and stepping back as if running away.
"Flukeeeeeee! I bought the same but different color so we are twinning. You don't need to give me anything, oh wait - bake me some of those macaroons you made previously that will be enough. Take this. We have a flight to catch. Hihihi", Earth literally just shove the paper bag to him and run to hug Kao's arm. Fluke smile when Kao nods to him and put a kiss to Earth's head as they walk away.
Fluke look down and look at the papebag. A blue scarf. The door where employees enters and two people came in. He step aside and bow his head. As the man walk pass him, he smell it. Fresh leaves and mint. An alpha. Fluke shiver, he gulp. Fear is crawling on his skin.
Fluke hold the paper bag tightly as he run to the door. Run to the alley, streets with less people and reach a run down apartment. He shakingly open the door, sighs relief when he hear his mother humming.
"Mom, I'm back", Fluke remove his shoes as he go to his mother. A soup, steak and rice are on the table.
"The steak is on sale. It's not bad to buy once in a - what happened son?", Fluke's mom panics when he noticed his pale face.
"I'm fine, Ma. I just encounter two alphas that's why - you know", Fluke slowly reply.
He feel warm around him. Fluke close his eyes as he savour his mother's embrace, "Not all alpha are like him, Fluke".
