Thomas, Tori, Jameson and Ray all stared at the old book on the floor in front of them. They all looked spooked, knowing it just fell on it's own. But, taking a deep internal breath, Thomas gathered the courage to pick up the book and open it to the first page. The other three all glanced into the open book beside Thomas.

The first page alone was filled with words, number codes, and a single illustration of some unknown animal. "No way in heck is Tori reading all that!", she exclaimed, turning away from the book with her arms crossed. "It looks like one of my many note pages in physics class," boasted Jameson with a smirk. Ray cracked a small smile and said, "This is kinda cool."

"I know right! Not even a full two days here and I've already found so much," joyfully said Thomas. Annoyed, Jameson said, "Well, while you were blabbering about your nonsense, I skim read the page already. In a short summary, this book belonged to a delusional theorist who is just trying to create something out of nothing, just like you."

Tori instantly gave Jameson a dirty look and replied, "Yo, leave him alone yo! Mind your business for once!" Jameson looked down upon hearing her words, looking frustrated. "Wait a minute," said Thomas, looking deeper into the first page. Upon further inspection, Thomas noticed something vital. The date on the bottom of the page read, "6/11/75."

Thomas's eyes lit up, as he just came to an insane realization. "Guys, this book belonged to someone who was here at the time those four kids allegedly disappeared all those years ago!", exclaimed Thomas in shock. Tori let out a small gasp, as Jameson raised his eyebrow in suspicion.

Thomas then thought of an idea, as he excitedly shouted, "Guys! Follow me!" Thomas then immediately booked it for the cabin door. Ray and Tori both shrugged, as they followed him at a slower pace. Jameson looked disgusted as he said, "Why are you two following that absurd brainless wack? I shall do no such thing!" Right after saying that, Jameson faintly heard moaning coming from Ranger Mike's cabin room. "On second thought, I shall go, but only because yous will need someone intelligent to guide you guys back." Jameson noticed they all had already left, so he ran after them.

Running into the woods as the morning sun glared through the trees, Thomas looked back at the three of them running behind him and explained, "In my 'dream' where I found this book, it was buried around this place up ahead! There's gotta be more clues if it turned out that nightmare was actually real." Tori nodded while running behind him as Ray and Jameson closely followed.

In a matter of seconds, Thomas stopped, and began searching around. "Yo, what is it?", asked Tori. With his hand on his chin, Thomas responded, "This is around where the pile of dirt was in my 'dream'. I tripped over the pile and found the book in the dirt before something morbidly disturbing grabbed me. But it seems like it really was just a dream." Jameson rolled his eyes and replied, "I told you two he was making it up. Maybe next time you'll listen to the man with the immense iq."

Tori turned to Ray and said, "Imma punch your older brother yo." "Go for it," Ray nonchalantly replied. As Thomas turned around to head back to the cabin alongside the others, his eyes caught something. A nearby tree with a huge scratch mark was right to the left of him. He immediately went up to examine it.

Feeling the deep indent of the scratch in the tree bark, Thomas's eyebrow raised. "Find something yo?", asked Tori. Adjusting his glasses, Jameson looked closely at the tree Thomas was touching and thought to himself, "No animal I'm aware of could've scarred a tree like that."

After further analysis, Thomas noticed dried up blood in the scarred tree dent. "Guys, I think-" "Wait!", abruptly exclaimed Ray, cutting Thomas off. He heard something. The other three instantly heard it right afterwards.

There were faint footsteps in the near distance. As the others stopped in their tracks, Thomas eagerly ran after the noise. "This idiot!", loudly whispered Jameson as they silently went after him. As this was happening, the morning sun was ominously covered by some clouds, as sudden winds began to blow.

Thomas tracked where the noise had came from. It was an oddly open grass area in the middle of the creepy woods. But, it would lead to nothing, as there was nobody there. As soon as the others caught up to Thomas, Tori yelled, "What the hell were you thinking yo!?" Jameson remarked while adjusting his glasses, "That's just the thing. He doesn't think." Thomas looked back at them and gave a nervous smile. "Guess I'm too curious for my own good. Also I most definitely have some brain damage ha ha," optimistically said Thomas.

While Tori and Jameson were scolding Thomas, Ray noticed something. A tiny ripped up piece of paper was flying in the breeze. "Look!", exclaimed Ray, pointing up at the piece of paper flying by. As soon as they all noticed, Tori yelled, "Thomas, get on your knees!" Without questioning it, Thomas quickly got down on his hands and knees. Tori then quickly stepped on Thomas's back and jumped into the air, snagging the small piece of paper out the air.

"Nice one," said Thomas, as him and Tori fist bumped. "Here yo. I can't read," said Tori, handing Thomas the tiny ripped up piece of paper. As Jameson and Ray huddled next to them, the four closely looked at the paper as Thomas read aloud, "The true mystery has just begun. Prepare for the horrors. You'll never be alone again." The note ended with a red smiley face.

"Wait a second. Turn that paper around real quick," said Jameson. As Thomas turned the tiny piece of paper around, the four of them let out a tiny gasp. It was a black and white photograph of a child. The date on the bottom of the paper read "1975". And at the top, the caption on the page read, "I'm still here".
Thomas then looked up to the sky as chilling winds filled the air. "Guys. There's something deeper, and really dark going on at this camp." He then turned to them with a determined expression grin, "But I'm going to solve it."
