Minerva McGonagall was Love's second favourite Professor, only being behind Flitwick but she might be a bit biased as he is the head of her house and he always gives delicious, little dancing cupcakes he keeps in a tin in his desk drawer to his students whenever they visit his office.

Regardless, Professor McGonagall was a great professor, when Love's first arrived at Hogwarts, she struggled with transfiguration the most, (Because what do you mean she could turn a living being into things? Should she be worried the cups she drinks from everyday are actually rats or something?) Honestly, the whole concept of it was baffling to her, for is very complex magic, not to mention dangerous.

To Love, who was just learning about magic, the subject was scary but still fascinating. When she realized she was having trouble with it she was not shy to ask Professor McGonagall for guidance, and the woman was more than happy to help, alas it is her job to help students but for such a strict professor she seemed very pleased to help Love, and from then on, Love hardly struggled with the subject again as matter of fact, she thinks Transfiguration was one of her favourites subjects.

"Now, raise your wands, with a tap and switch to the left you say, Lapifors." McGonagall instructed after she had performed the spell herself.

The Lapifors Spell, a spell to turn a statue, a cat or a salamander into a rabbit, a trans-species transformation.

"Lapifors." Love chanted on the salamander she was borrowing from the class, doing the swift motions of the wand.

It took her two tires but eventually, the salamander was quick to transform into a fluffy grey rabbit with a white tail. She smiled petting the rabbit's soft fur, glancing at her desk mate, Hannah Abbot, a Hufflepuff who was struggling with the spell.

"Ugh, I can't –" Hannah grunted, doing the movement too harshly.

McGonagall walked past them at that moment. "With less force, Miss Abbot."

Hannah subtly sends the professor an exasperated look over her shoulder. She tried the spell again before turning towards Love who was smiling at her bunny. She sighed loudly leaning her head on her hand, making Love glance at her but still not paying her any attention, not until she sighed again, leaning against Love's shoulder this time.

"No," Love told her, side-eyeing the girl knowing exactly what she was doing.

Hannah groaned, leaning back. "Please, Love, just this once."

"That is exactly what you said the last time," Love mumbles, looking over her shoulder at where McGonagall is helping a student. "Besides how will you learn anything if I continue to do your spells for you?"
