The child tilted her head innocently upon the accusation. "Theor did you see that? Do you think she understands me?". "What are you saying my lord how could that be? You are just reading too much into it." The knight answered politely with a light chuckle. "Well, if you say so-" As he said that a voice called out to them from behind, "Commander! Your Grace!" A young female knight was running towards them looking very excited, "I came here as soon as I heard the duchess had given birth!" The child held onto the Duke's collar and leaned against him. "Keep your voice down, you are scaring the child" The Duke said as he kept a hand on the child's back. "Right... and Raya, does this mean you abandoned your post... again?" Theor said with a frown on his face. "Ah! Is that the child your grace? Let me see, let me see!" Raya fawned over the child, completely ignoring Theor. The child looked at Raya from the corner of her eyes [She's so pretty.... A little too loud though] She thought to herself. "How dare you ignore me, you Bastard?!" Sir Theor snapped at Raya. [Bastard? Don't tell me- that's a man?!] She was really shocked by the revelation [I am never trusting my eyes again...]. "Oh come on commander, you are making a big deal out of nothing. What could possibly be more important than seeing the Duke's child?" Raya just shrugged him off with a grin. "What did you say?! It's a matter of the manor's safety!" Sir Theor looked like he was about to go mad. "Hmm~ what are you saying? Quit exaggerating~". [Wow... If this keeps going Sir Theor is really going to lose it- I gotta do something] Thinking that the child tugged on the Duke's shirt and looked up at him, realizing he had been looking at her the whole time. "What is it?" he asked her with a smile and the child pointed at Raya and Theor who looked like he would grab Raya by the throat any second now. Hee looked at them and then back at her and the child tilted her head at him still pointing at them, [Well..?]. "Alright, alright" The Duke seemed to understand what she was telling him to do and looked back at the two bickering men and cleared his throat causing both of them to freeze as they were. "Both of you shut up and get back to work" The Duke said in a firm, commanding tone. "Yes your Grace!" The two of them saluted him and scurried away as quickly as possible still bickering along the way. The child yawned as she watched them go away. The duke looked down at her and smiled, "Shall we go inside then?" The child smiled back and made herself comfortable in his arms as they headed inside.

As they reached the Duke's room, he set the child who had already fallen asleep on the bed and sat down beside her. "You do understand what we are saying, don't you?" He smiled as he lightly poked her cheek and she turned away frowning, making him chuckle.

In a bit, there was a knock on the door. "Your grace, it's me, Baton. May I come in?" The butler asked politely. "Yes, you may" The Duke answered and the butler opened the door and walked in before bowing down to him. The Duke nodded, "So, what's the situation?" He asked as he moved to the couch at the side of the room, so as to not disturb the baby. The butler followed him, "It's not much different from before my Lord," Baton sighed, "The lady has been throwing tantrums and smashing stuff all day." The Duke frowned, "That woman... she never changes does she?" "Well there's nothing that can be done about it" The butler shook his head, "Anyway My lord, have you decided a name for the child yet?" He asked with a smile. "Of course I have..." The Duke answered and the both of them looked over at the soundly sleeping child....
