The rest of the school year a goes by in a blur. Carla's not there, but Cole is. I show him around and help him find his classes. Nothing big happens. The last 30 days of the last year of middle school. Carla comes to 8th grade graduation. That day is really bittersweet. We reflect on the good moments and try to push away the bad. I was selected to speak, which was really nerve-wracking. I barely even remember what I said, but people thought it was amazing apparently. So that's how I started my summer.

Carla is finally better, which im so happy about. Me, carla, alex, and cole have been hanging out a lot lately, whether it be at the park or at the mall or wherever. We always have a good time. Talia is the first to throw a party. It's on June 30th, a luao. Lots of people were invited, even Cole. It's just 10 days after school ended, so it will be the "official" start to our summer.

On Tuesday night, 3 days before the party, I find myself scrolling through texts from Alex. One specifically catches my eye, flooding my head with memories. It's the link to Carla's hate page. I don't click it, because I'm scared to see what's there.
At the end of the night, before I fall asleep, there's only one thought in my head.
