Annabelle gaped at the monster rushing towards them, knocking down trees as it went. She was frozen, she couldn't move. Annabelle suddenly felt herself being dragged behind someone and glanced up to notice a tall dark-haired boy standing in front of her, that was when she noticed some other teenagers had all come out. Annabelle couldn't help but let her eyes roam around the teenagers seeing there were boys and girls of all ages, and a few other adults as well. All she could do was merely observe, she didn't hold any battle knowledge and didn't even understand how to handle her powers like she was certain everyone else knew how to. Annabelle's attention shifted back to the minotaur that was racing over, she could hear Rachel yelling orders to the demigods, telling them to get prepared, to attack.

Although Annabelle was hardly paying any attention. She could feel herself being pushed back slightly by the boy, more towards the building. "Stay near the building, the protection will keep you safe." The boy murmured to her, a sword in hand. Annabelle nodded slowly, remaining near the building like she was told but could see the others getting thrown or knocked out. She was attempting to think of something to do, she couldn't just stand here and let them fight it, could she? Annabelle could see a pair of other girls with flower crowns out of the corner of her eyesight, noticing how they were making trees grow to try and delay the minotaur, that was when she realized that they were also likely daughters of Demeter. She observed them for a minute to try and figure out how they were doing it. She turned when she heard the sound of a scream seeing the boy who had stood in front of her hunkered on the ground clasping his stomach when she realized he had been hurt. She could see his sword laying near him but knew he couldn't reach it.

When she saw the beast facing her, she went still but she saw it running at her, she heard her father shout. "Annabelle!" Just as she dove out of the way although she felt the tip of the beast's claw scrape her arm, she glanced at her arm seeing it wasn't too bad when she hurried next to the boy, she glanced at the sword. She didn't know how to handle a weapon like that and figured it would be best for her to simply try and get a handle on her powers. Annabelle placed her hands against the ground as she tried to concentrate and slow her breathing. She could feel her heart racing quicker, she didn't know if she could make anything happen. But she had to try. Annabelle tried to concentrate, trying to take a few small deep breaths to compose herself and to concentrate, she could hear the boy behind her groaning, which she tried to block out too. She opened her eyes just as she saw roots come up through the ground and go toward the creature, Annabelle smiled to herself, knowing she was the one doing this. She watched as the roots wrapped around the creature, holding it back from attacking anyone else. Another boy had run at the creature, stabbing it in its stomach, killing it, as Annabelle heard the last roar from the minotaur just as she saw it dissolve. Annabelle leaned back slightly, watching as the roots she had grown slowly go back under the ground. Annabelle looked up when she saw her father running over and felt him tugging her into a hug. Mark pulled back after a minute. "Are you alright?" He asked, examining her over when he saw the cut, but he felt her patting his shoulder. "I am fine." She promised. "Just a small scratch, that's all." She added as she saw the other demigods helping the injured ones and taking them inside to get healed. Soon, it was just her, Mark, and Rachel standing outside now.

Her father had a protective arm over his daughter's shoulder. "Maybe I should just take her someplace else." He said, now more worried about his daughter than he had been before. Rachel shook her head. "This is the safest place for her." She protested. "This doesn't happen all the time, it probably just did because it still had your daughter's scent on the trail." She explained. "She is completely safe here." She added. Mark paused for a minute before nodding slightly with a small nod as he walked back to his car and looked at Annabelle. "Promise me you will stay safe, and call if you ever need anything." He told her. Annabelle nodded, embracing her father tightly. "I will. I love you, dad." She said, He smiled a bit, patting her back gently. "I love you too, Annie." He said as he gave her one more short hug before letting go of her. Annabelle stood there as she watched him get in his car and drive off when she felt a hand on her shoulder and looked up to see Rachel.

"I must go and see how the wounded are doing. You are welcome to look around inside." She said as she led the younger girl inside. Annabelle walked inside but all she could do was gaze around as Rachel walked away. It looked small outside, but inside, it looked larger than it was. She allowed her eyes to scan everywhere. There was a room that had plastic rugs along the floor. Targets hanging on the walls along with weapons of all types hanging around the walls and some even leaning in corners. She could see there were swords, shields, arrows and bows, and numerous other weapons. She diverted her attention towards the other side of the building, noticing there were shelves of books, plants, and some medical things such as bandages, gauze, medicine, and a few additional things Annabelle didn't know. But Annabelle was curious, so she wandered over to the plants to see what they looked like, but noticed they were just regular flower plants.

Annabelle glanced over when she saw a girl about her age standing next to her. "I saw what you did, to hold back that creature. That was impressive, most of us couldn't get a hold of our powers like that," she confessed. Annabelle shrugged a bit, "it was probably just good beginner's luck. I am not even sure if I could do something like that again." she added. The girl nodded and realized she hadn't introduced herself, she said. "I'm Amelia," she said, offering Annabelle a smile, to which Annabelle returned the smile. "It's nice to meet you, I'm Annabelle," she replied, she paused for a minute before saying. "So... since you are a daughter of Demeter as well, does this mean we are half-siblings?" she questioned. Amelia grinned a bit with a nod. "We are." she agreed. Amelia nodded some as she looked at the flowers again, watching as Amelia made them grow a bit. "Us Demeter kids work to grow vegetables and food out in the garden, of course, we have a few kids once a week that go out into town to bring food. But we mainly use the garden. Which you are welcome to help out with." Amelia explained. Annabelle smiled hearing she would be able to assist with it. After a few more additional minutes of speaking to her, listening to what else could be grown in the garden. Which were the basics such as tomatoes, watermelon, carrots, etc.

Annabelle had said goodbye before she turned to go explore some more, she began to walk down the hall when she stopped seeing a couple of rooms that were joined, but as she looked, she could see that it was the kitchen and the dining hall, she stepped into the doorway, just to get a better look of it. The kitchen was surprisingly neat for as many demigods that live here together. There was everything a kitchen required but could see the fridge was slightly taller than a standard one but supposed it would need to be to hold as much food as they need to feed everyone. She noticed there was a wall dividing the kitchen and dining hall but there was a door in the wall that was open so you could step into the kitchen to the dining hall or from the dining hall into the kitchen. She saw a large counter and figured that they put all the food up there and the others could just grab what they wanted. As she studied the dining hall a bit more, she could see there were a few long tables and assumed it was to be able to seat everyone. Although, she wondered what they did when the tables got all filled up.

She turned and stepped out, going down the remainder of the hall but saw the rest were rooms and a few restrooms. But at the end of the hall, she could see a sign that said infirmary on it but the door was closed and knew they were trying to heal the ones who had been hurt. But, as she walked, she saw a bedroom door open and saw the boy who had put himself in front of her earlier. She hesitated for a moment, wanting to see if he was alright but didn't know if she should go see him yet. Annabelle didn't have time to determine because, at that point, she noticed the boy standing in the doorway. "Oh... uh, I wasn't staring or anything." she began to say, not wanting him to think she had just been there watching him. "I was just walking around but just wanted to see how you were doing," she said. He gave a nod, chuckling a bit. "They got me healed up as far as they can, I just have to take it easy and will be fine in a few days," he told her. "I'm Ryan, by the way," he said, offering a smile. "Annabelle," she said, smiling up at him before adding. "And... thank you for having tried to protect me from the minotaur..." she said softly. But as she spoke to him, she could tell he appeared to tower over her.

"Now that you know I am fine and that the introduction is over, I know you have probably walked around and seen the building, why don't I give you a proper tour? And I can even answer any questions you have." he offered.
