Panting over the toilet bowl I deeply swallowed, wiping my forehead with the side of my arm. A sound of the door swinging open and several people rushing in sounded behind me.

"Hello?" someone said "Are you okay?"

A hand pushed against my back. She smelt strongly of candy floss and bubblegum, setting off another gag and hurl. The hand recoiled back, presumably in shock.

"Guys she's throwing up- I don't know what to do!"

"Just let her throw up Brittany, she's probably hung over."

"Shut up Quinn!" a few voices protested, defending me and this Brittany girl.

"Tina, didn't you say your mom does this thing whenever you throw up to make you feel better?"

"That thing is tea made of panda hair, Rachel, and my mom isn't even Aisan!"

"Sorry! I'm just trying to think of something!"

"What if we try to pay her to stop? My dad gave me an extra five hundred for lunch money today. It's not like I actually eat the school food."

High heels stomped up to the side of me. They were rhinestoned, glistening under the white lights.

"Hello? Helllooo? Can you stop throwing up? Or try to hold it in?"

She waved bills next to my head and tapped my shoulder with a long acrylic nail. The only thing I could manage to do was tilt my head and furrow my eyebrows at her, their squabbling continuing in the background. Her volume seemed amplified, making my head throb and ache.

"Can you guys just be quiet for a second?" a voice yelled at them all. "If she's throwing up I doubt your fighting will calm her stomach."

"I'm sorry! I just got scared when she threw up, and I don't have any chopsticks on me."

"Why would you need chopsticks?"

"Usually when Mr Tubbington throws up I let him chew on a chopstick. It's what I did after the Tik Tok performance."

"Santana is right, just calm down." a girl agreed. After the name drop I finally understood the ring in my head when I heard her speak.

"Thank you, Mercedes."

Her footsteps approached me, my breathing rattling as she touched my shoulder, freezing there. It quickly moved up to my neck and flipped over. I squirmed, groaning at the coldness.

"Woah, she's like really hot."

Quinn snorted to herself, presumably at the irony of her words.

"It's not that bad," I croaked, the back of my throat burning.

"Wait, I recognise that voice..." Tina uttered.

Hoisting myself up with shaking arms I turned to them. A collection of seven girls seemed to be huddled around me, their faces morphed into looks of shock. One with brown hair and an ugly animal sweater stood next to Quinn, Tina was with a black girl I recognised, the person with the shiny shoes looked disgusted with my appearance, bubblegum girl was biting her nails and peering over Santana's shoulder, to which she was gently placing her backhand on my forehead. My eyes squinted at them under the blinding lights.
