I slinked through the halls of McKinley once again, trying to blend in. Chatter bounced off the walls. Those stupid hockey jocks shoved their way through the herd wielding slushies that swished from side to side. A strong arm barged into mine, knocking my shoulder into someone next to me, causing their books to crash to the floor. Slushie drops fell from the side of the cup and onto my socks.

"Watch where you're going!"

"Who said it was my fault," I whispered to myself.

He turned around, glancing at his pathetic excuse for friends, shoving a slushie into one of their arms.

"Anyone who thinks that it was my fault needs glasses. Hey, where did yours go? Y'know, back when you were tutoring and being a teacher's pet."

I wear contacts I thought, glasses made my nose hurt

"Why would you care?"

I tried my hardest to keep my tranquility, but the eyes on me pricked like a porcupine and the thump of my heart slowly emerged into my ears.

"I miss the little geek that dated that one goth Chinese girl. I used to bully homework awnsers out of them."

"Oh just shut the fuck up, we didn't date and she's from South Korea you idiot. You're just mad that I was smarter in middle school than you will ever be."

"Jesus, calm down Black Einsten. Go make out with your girlfriend or something."

"Einstein had two wives. That proves I get more pussy than you."

The crowd of people starting giggling. I didn't regret what I said, even after I knew what was going to imminently happen. He lurched the slushy cup towards me.

The red, cold droplets fell off my face. I stood in shock, watching them errupt around me. Turning to walk away, my foot knocked into a textbook laying on the floor. A hand reached out, snatching it away. I looked down to realise that the person I fell into was none other than my "Aisan Aquaintance".

"I-uhm... are you o-okay?"

"Quit it. I could tell your stutter stopped when you were speaking to me in the bathroom yesterday."

Storming past her, my fingers scooped the liquid off my face and onto the floor.

"I didn't know how to tell you!" she argued, chasing after me.

"What do you mean by that? That I wouldn't be able to handle it?"

"Well look at you now! What are you even mad at me for?"

Chuckling in disbelief I turned back to her.

"Hello? I kept the promise we made two years ago and not only didn't you speak and back me up, you're laughing at me? I understand the fact that you don't want to be friends or anything past that anymore but atleast don't treat me like utter dirt."

"Y/n I wasn't even laughing."

We both knew that was a lie. Whether covered in slush or bone-dry she still thought of me as a massive joke. Shaking my head and carrying on walking she still raced at my tail.

"I know how a slushie to the face feels and I know that the hoodie you're wearing is one of your best. But I can also tell that you're mad about something else."

Pausing I thought about what she said in depth. Was I mad about something else?

"I'll be fine. You can keep my hoodie though, it was your second favourite of mine."
