Rolling my shoulders and standing beside my locker I prepped myself for what was about to happen. Glee Club, with an ex whom I may still have feelings for.

The tension will be so thick I'd make the atmosphere almost impossible to breathe in. Oh no, what if I mess something up? I don't want to let Britanny down. Because she was depending on me. Yes, that's why. It's Britanny I'm worried about. Nobody else. I can't disappoint Britanny. I snuck up to the choir room door and slinked to the side. Just stop overcomplicating things.

Like ripping off a bandaid, all you have to do is take the plunge. Dive into the pool of sharks. Wait, that wouldn't fit. They are Glee kids after all. Dive into the pool of judgemental guppies?

"Hello?" I managed to greet them, announcing to the group my presence. It was stupid to say that; like it was pitch black and I was trying to see if I was alone. "Is this the New Directions?"

"Yes! Welcome, Y/N. Take a seat. We're about to get started, we're just waiting up on a few more members." Mr Schue gleefully responded, pointing to an empty chair.

It was placed in between Blaine and his boyfriend, with what I remember to be the kid on the wheelchair below me, Artie. Not a bad setup, the only negative thing was Tina's boyfriend sat near me.

I gave a small smile at the teacher and set my bag on the floor. Within five seconds of being in there I had already mapped out where Santana was seated; top row to the right of me, almost an exact mirroring. I presume it was so she could look over everyone like a monarch or something.

The boy next to me was gossiping to Mercedes, mainly about Rachel and her boyfriend. I recalled Rachel as the over-enthusiastic girl standing next to Quinn a couple of days ago. Her boyfriend turned out to be Finn, the Quarterback of the football team. Me and Tina used to make fun of him for the way he ran; it was as if he had taped a pair of stilts to the bottom of his cleats.

Ah, Tina. She was talking to another Asian boy, and her style was altered completely. An almost nineteen eighties mom look? Just the other day she was wearing an outfit from Hot Topic. Now she's morphed into a housewife who bakes apple pie for her husband. Speaking of which, she started getting frisky with the boy next to her. Holding his hand, kissing his jaw, messing with his hair. It was as if they were a couple.

"Shit, Artie," I whispered to the guy, pointing in Tina's direction. "Didn't know you two were freaky like that."

Frowning and glancing over at them he let out a deep sigh.

"Nope. Me and Tina are old news. I ended things with her Sophomore Year, but she still broke my heart."

"So you guys weren't together when I first saw you?"

"Yep."

"What did she do?"

"She faked a stutter just to fly under the radar. When I found out, all of the feelings I had seeped out of me."

Should I tell him about me and Tina? Screw it, he already found out on my first day back.

"Yeah. She dumped me as well, remember? You were there."

"I completely forgot! You had me terrified."

"Really? All I did was share the little fling I had with her privately. She isn't a big fan of people finding out she used to date a lesbian."

"Wait, is she straight or not?"

"100% straight. If it weren't for me you wouldn't have even had a chance with her."

"True,"

We both laughed amongst each other until it slowly faded away and we fell into silence, sadly watching the happy couple in love.
