Freed hated sleeping in. He viewed it as being lazy, as bad behaviour. But Laxus enjoyed it if he wasn't working and thought he deserved to take it easy whenever he wasn't risking his life. And he was right. While Freed hated sleeping in he knew Laxus deserved it, especially after his near death experience.
So that was why he was in the kitchen making his morning tea and a coffee for his blond when it was almost noon. Luckily the duo managed to start being able to seperate at least a little. Freed could be in the kitchen while Laxus was in the bedroom for around twenty minutes.
He was just mixing in the cream and sugar of his own drink - Laxus liked his coffee black- when there was a furious banging against the front door.
...
"Bicks? Ever?" He asked after he opened the door to reveal his dear friends. "Yeah its us! And we have questions!" Evergreen said in a demanding voice. "Come in" Freed said. He opened the door wider and ushered them into the living room.
"Let me wake up Laxus and let him know you're here" Freed said. His voice sounded cold and distant, he was seperating himself from the situation.
Reality was crashing down around him. Obviously he knew that his fantasy wasn't real the entire time but he could almost believe it. Believe the soft sweet touches and delicate kisses and loving words. But that had only happened while the duo were in solitude. And now the outside world had breached their safe bubble.
Freed took the warm drinks up to the bedroom and ducked in sheepishly. He felt like sneaking into Laxus' bedroom while in full view of others was inappropriate.
...
He set the drinks down on the closest bedside table.
"Laxus?" He gently urged.
The man mentioned rolled over and smiled sleepily. He patted the bed beside him. The green-haired man slowly sat down on the bed. "It's time to get up Laxus"
...
God, Laxus was falling hard. Even the simpliest thing was making his heart jackhammer inside of his chest. And Freed was definitely too pretty for him to handle.
It was a nice sight to wake up to.
Freed was wearing a large white button-up that could be worn as a dress with how big it was on the small frame. The sleeves needed to be rolled up and if he was wearing shorts, the shirt went past them. The collar was immaculate and yhe shirt was fully buttoned. And the shirt belonged to Laxus.
And his green hair was plaited in a long elegant braid. He had done it when he woke up in the early morning and didn't want to wake up the other man.
So Freed was very attractive and bringing him coffee and he was his. He couldn't handle it.
...
"Don't want to" he mumbled into his pillow. But he knew Freed wasn't going to budge. He hauled himself up and ended up looming over the other man.
Laxus leaned in and kissed the other man. And Freed was a weak man when it came to this man. So the continued kissing. Freed could taste ozone and felt the sting of static against his lips.
But after a moment Freed felt guilty. Not only because he wasn't supposed to give in or take advantage but also because their best friends were currently waiting for them in the living room.
So he started trying to convince the dragon slayer. "Laxus" - kiss- "I'm serious" - kiss- "It's time" -kiss- "to get out" -kiss- "of bed" Freed urged. Though he couldn't stop his giggle when Laxus nipped his jaw. He did however manage to push the blond away, his face flushed red remembering the fact that the had company. "Bickslow and Evergreen finished their job" he announced while handing the larger man his coffee. "Oh, that's nice" the blond commented.
"They're downstairs"
"What!?" He almost spit out his coffee. "They showed up just before I came up here. I apologize for getting distracted. Now get up and get dressed" Freed said. "Did you tell them anything?" Laxus asked. He handed Freed his mug so that e could stand up and wander over to his closet.
"No. I said I was going to wake you up and wenr straight up here" "Good".
Freed idly sipped on his tea. He could tell that today was going to be a long day. At least maybe now he could have someone to keep him accountable. Because the duo cared about them. Both of them. They would be perfect at keeping him in line so that he doesn't hurt Laxus and himself. And hopefully they wouldn't be too mad that he had apprently rejected the Thunder God.
...
They were wrapped in a frantic energy. Before they exited the relative safety of the bedroom Laxus grabbed Freed and kissed him once more. The rune mage ducked his head as they hurried out. He was ashamed of sharing affection while in the proximity of others. And he really didn't want them to suspect what they had been up to.
"Well, that took a while" Bickslow commented. Freed used his mug to hide his face. "Yeah, sorry about that. Guess I've been really sluggish lately" Laxus said. He was as confident as ever as he joined them in the living room and sat in the large armchair.
"I'll be honest. If it weren't for you two showing up I would probably still be in bed" the blond said.
"We stopped by the guild. Master said that you were no longer under Porlyusica's care?" Evergreen prompted. Laxus sighed. "That's right. I'm fine now, just recuperating" he said. Ever narrowed her eyes at that. "You can't just say that! How? Why?" She demanded.
"Yeah. I guess it's time to talk about it..."
"Damn right it is!" Bickslow urged. "Just know that I don't want anything discussed to get out. Please just let this stay a secret" Laxus begged. "What-" "Just do it" Freed said.
"I'm not sick anymore because I found my soulmate"
