When it was announced that Freed had succeeded in the trials and that he was the next S-class wizard, both men were incredibly giddy. Laxus picked him up and spun him around right then and there.

The boat ride home while still giddy didn't carry that original spark as Laxus had to deal with his motion sickness but as soon as they were on solid ground again, he bounced pack. They wanted to go straight home to celebrate, announce to the empty halls of the Dreyar-Justine home that both resident were officially S-class.

But unfortunately the master needed him to attend a meeting on being the newest S-class wizard of the guild. Laxus only grumbled a little and instead kissed him on the cheek and told him that he would be waiting.

...

The cabin was a thing of beauty now that it was fully built. There was a carving of a beautiful skeletal dragon just above the door and two small fairies on either side. The blond never explained what the meaning of them was but that didn't make them any less beautiful in the rune-mage's eyes.

Barely after removing his coat he was approached by Laxus with two glasses of wine. "Well, hello Mr. S-class" the blond greeted cheerfully as he paused his lover a glass of wine.

"No. Really I shouldn't drink yet. I still have to make dinner" Freed protested. Always the responsible one. The taller man laughed. "Don't worry about dinner. Ever's picking something up for us. You worked too damn hard on the trials to be worrying over dinner and you deserve to celebrate with a treat" the blond insisted.

A part of him wanted to askmwhy he wasn't preparing dinner but he had worked himself pretty hard fighting the other wizards as well, and then had to deal with his motion sickness.

"Well then" the green-haired man finally accepted his offered drink.

...

They ate dinner curled up together on the couch. "So, Mr. S-class. Do I know how to treat you or what?" The blond asked smugly. His soulmate stiffled a laugh. "Mr. S-class. Is that going to be our new thing until the guild gets sick of it?" He asked. His tone was soft and warm.

"Of course! I mean we kinda have to think of something new. They got tired of Mr. and Mr. Dreyar-Justine forever ago" Laxus announced.

Freed looked down at his ring sheepishly. He still couldn't believe he was actually married to the wonderful man at his side. Could still remember their unplanned engagement.

They had been on a job together, the request's information was wrong so it ended up being much harder than they thought it would be. He got hurt and knocked out. And when he finally woke up in the infirmary, Laxus asked him to marry him.

It was sweet and there was no need for it to have been showy or any more romantic. To him it was perfect.

Noticing that the smaller man was staring at his ring, Laxus reached out and picked up  a slim pale wrist. He kissed the back of Freed's hand.

"So. This house' only residents are official S-class wizards. Isn't that great" the blond said. It was a boast but not the 'look how great I am' type. The 'look how great we are' type and that warmed Freed greatly. Just knowing that his husband was proud of him.

With a deepening blush that stained his cheeks, he remembered what the wizard in front of him told him at their wedding.

...

"Y'know. In all the little stories, dragons are known for hoarding treasures. I think you might be my most precious jewell"

...

Freed told him then that he would be glad to be kept as a prize, he still is.

"Well, for now it is. Five months. In five months we'll be starting our family" the pale-man responded. "Grow our family" the blond gently corrected.

And they both felt giddy again, curled around each other as they celebrated their success and how far they've come and talk about how far they'll continue to go. The milestones that they'll reach together.

(A/N: It's finally finished! I'm sorry the last three chapters took so long! I'll be taking a little break and then I'll return with more Fraxus!)
