Ch8: Laying the Foundations

(Y/N POV - Later that afternoon - Ashford Academy)

It took us forever to find a suitable route through the ghettos to hide the Lancelot Club and Lelouch's Sutherland in a warehouse that I owned, the title under a different name and was secure enough that it could wait until tomorrow to retrieve them. Going to have to 'borrow' another truck tomorrow morning to move them to a more secure location tomorrow.

I probably wasn't going to get much sleep tonight after what happened anyway...

After that it was a quick train ride to Ashford Academy, thankfully without any interruptions this time.

Though for me and Lelouch it was mainly quite between the two of us...except for mainly reassuring everyone else that we were all right.

The news was starting to leak word of a major skirmish in the Shinjuku Ghetto, but nothing on Clovis's death.

Seems like they are keep quite about that until tomorrow, after that all hell will brake lose sooner or later.

Either way neither of us knew what to say anything else about the battle that we hadn't already said before. For now the focus was on what was next.

Reassuring Nunnally that we were alright as no doubt she had already gotten the news of what happened. Plotting to drive Britannia out of Japan could wait until after she had gone asleep.

Which shouldn't be long now, home was within sight.

"So once we get inside we aren't leaving Nunnally's side until we are certain that she is alright...and I might have to stay with her until she is asleep tonight." I said, getting Lelouch to nod.

"I thought as much. But what about Sayoko, how shall we deal with her if she suspects anything?" Lelouch inquired while I hide a grin.

"We already got our answers Lulu." I said, tapping to my eye with the Geass. Getting an annoyed frown from my brother, just like I wanted. "Besides I'll deal with her. That and we could ask her for sometime alone."

Lelouch stared at me inquisitively for a few moments, likely trying to figure things out before nodding.

"True, but that would do little from stopping her from prying if Sayoko grows suspicious. Yet as you said, you already have that covered." Lelouch said evenly as we approached the door.

"Yup." Was I all I said before reaching to open the door.

Only for Sayoko to open the door.

"And how Master Lelouch did you expect Master Y/N to handle me?" She asked, getting Lelouch to take a step back and surprising us both before I shook my head.

"I'll tell you later Sayoko, but how is Nunnally?" I asked her.

"Mistress Nunnally has been distraught once she heard what happened at Shinjuku Ghetto. Your calls have eased her, but she is still worried about the both of you. Mistress Nunnally is in the front room." Sayoko said, getting the both of us to nod as we entered our home.

"Thank you Sayoko and we're sorry to have worried you and Nunnally." I said, getting her to nod.

"We would never worry Nunnally like that intentionally. We'll explain more later." Lelouch said as he shot me one more look before heading into the front room.

"I think he suspects us Master Y/N." Sayoko said, getting me to nod.

"He does, we were going to come clean anyway." I said before reaching into my pocket. "Did you bring it into the hanger."

"Of course Master Y/N." She said.

"Thank you Sayoko, but I have one more quick favor." I said to her before giving her the burner phone. "Can you please transfer the recordings on her to a secure location and tell me where sometime tomorrow. You don't have to do it tonight, just please keep it in a safe place until than."
