* A few days later *

We got off the rv and went into a cafe while Dakota went across the street to talk to the camera. After Dakota gets in and we eat, we get back in the rv to our next location. Tanner took a polaroid picture of Kota, Chels and I. "Yeah, it looks really cute." Chelsea says when Kota shows her. We goof around some before Chelsea asks him if he can give us a hint of where we're going. "I don't want to say too much without giving it away, but I believe that whatever is haunting this location has a lot of energy still. One of the most common accounts is shadow figures and loud, audible noises." "Dang, those are the things that creep me out the most." I say. "We know." everyone says at once, making us all laugh.

We're still driving when I come out from my bunk and sit in Dakota's lap, laying my head on his shoulder, tired from schoolwork and sleep deprivation. "Tired?" he asks, rubbing my back as the guys smile at our interaction. "Mmhmm." I mumble. He starts rocking us back and forth ever so slightly and soon I fall asleep.

*Dakota's POV*

Madi comes out of her shared bunk room and sits in my lap, laying her head on my shoulder. "Tired?" I ask her, rubbing her back. "Mmhmm." she mumbles before I start rocking her back and forth a little bit. She's out like a light in no time. "She's been really tired lately." Alex points out. "Yeah, but then again, we all have. These locations are getting worse and worse. Especially for her. Dakota, have you ever thought that maybe she has some sort of gift? Maybe that's why all these entities are coming after her, and maybe that explains why your house got more active when she was born." Tanner says. "Yeah, maybe" I mumble. "I can always talk to Zak and see if he can get a psychic to talk to her after we get home." I suggest. "I think that's a good idea." Chels says. "Yeah, if she does have some type of gift, then actually knowing about and using that gift might help make her less of a target." Alex says and we all agree. I'll talk to Zak after this road trip is over.

About an hour later, we pull up to our pitstop. I chose a haunted lake called Lake Shawnee. I wake Madi up and we all get out of the rv to meet up with the owner of this place so he can give us the history. This land used to be native American land but was taken over by white men, a couple years ago it was turned into an amusement park but the death didn't stop even though this was supposed to be a happy place. A little girl was killed on the swings when a delivery truck backed up, a boy drowned when his canoe tipped over and his arm got caught in a drain pipe, and people claim to hear Native American chanting, or a figure of a Native American. After we get the history we leave to get lunch and come back that night to do a little investigating before the actual location tomorrow.

*Madison's POV (later that night)*

We get back to Lake Shawnee and start looking for the headstone of the kids that the Native Americans killed because white men tried to take their land. We eventually find it and talk to the ghosts for a little bit telling them how sorry we are for what they went through before we hear dogs barking really loud, then we go sit at a table and do the packet read.

"Sweet Springs Sanitarium." Tanner reads as he opens the packet. We found out that it was built by slave labor, Indians were slaughtered on the land and buried there and on top of the patients there are over 400 unmarked graves, it was last a Tuberculosis hospital, there is apparently a jail cell on the property, and the most active place is the 3rd floor and the basement. Also, apparently several of the past owners have died unexpectedly after purchasing the property.  After we read the packet, we talk more about why we're doing this roadtrip. Everyone says their thoughts about it then it comes around to me. "I'm doing this so that people might finally believe me and others who go through hauntings daily but instead of people believing them, they tell them their crazy. I'm doing this for all of those people." I say with a tight lipped smile as Kota reaches over and gives me a side hug before Alex cuts the camera and we get back in the rv because it started raining. After we sit down, Dakota shows us a map of the place. It's HUGE, by far the biggest place we've been to so far.
