One Jump

Chapter 4:

Arabella's POV

"What the hell happened last night?!" I scream at him. I am never like this or swear but I'm terrified.

"It's hard to explain your not ready."

"I just saw you as a wolf tear apart other man wolf things. I think I'm ready."

"We are werewolves."

"Werewolves are mythical... They are just made up."

"You saw it. It's not fake."

I start panting and sit back down on the bed. "I'm scared, Shane."

"Don't be everything will be alright." Shane goes to hug me but I flinch and move away. "Please I would never hurt you. I promise."

"Why are you so protective of me?"

"Your my mate!"

"What the hell is a mate?!"

Wow I didn't realize I could be so demanding.

"It's a soul-mate, the other half to a person. You can't tell me you don't feel sparks or long to be by my side."

I do. All of the those things I do feel around him. Okay so if I'm his mate what else am I?

"What else am I?"

"A Luna."

"What's a Luna?"

"A female Alpha. I'm the Alpha of this pack, The Moon Shadow Pack."

"How many werewolves are there?"

"Millions. And more are coming. Soon there will be more werewolves than humans."

My eyes widen. I have never known this before. If that's true my own best friend can be a freaking werewolf. I start pacing around his room. I need more time to think.

"I'm going to shower."

"Are you alright?"

"Yeah just need to think."

I grab a pair of his sweat pants and a t-shirt. I lock the door behind me and hop in the shower. All those fake stories about werewolves are real. For gosh sake the wolf in Little Red Riding Hood is probably a werewolf. I scream. I need to let all of these emotions out before I explode.

"Arabella!!" I hear him scream and try to open the door. "Please! Open the door! Are you okay? Arabella!" He sounded terrified.

The door breaks off the hinges and I fall to my knees in the shower. He grabs a towel and wraps it around me. "Baby what happened?" I mentally smile at him calling me baby. Arabella stop! He's a werewolf.

"Nothing."

"That scream wasn't nothing... Tell me please I'm here for you."

"You weren't there for me when those men kidnapped me." I snap.

He growled and I flinched. "I'm sorry, Bella. I promise I will always be at your side for now on."

"I'm going home after I get dressed."

"No your not." His eyes turned black and I started to cry.

I must seem weak but I just stepped into a world I never expected to be real. His eyes soften and turn back to his beautiful soft green eyes. He starts to tear up. "Babe your making me cry... Please stop crying."

I let out a stifled laugh. "I just walked into your world. A world I never thought existed. I'm going home. Please don't come after me."

Shane begins to cry more and holds me tighter. "When a mate leaves you, you become a crayon. Sometimes the odd color sometimes to most popular, but you begin to disappear scrape after scrape. Eventually you break in half and your life becomes a nothing. Nobody wants you, nobody even sees you, they just throw you away."

I start to cry again. Hearing him hurt makes me become weak and helpless. "Can I at least go home to get clothes?"
