We've been digging for a while in complete silence. No longer was it a comfortable silence, but an awkward. At least it's not tense. How didn't Robin hear the phone? I heard Bruce's voice loud and clear, but Robin said it didn't work. I know my mom always said I was "special", but I definitely didn't expect this. Robin probably thinks I'm crazy now, but how else would I know about the tiles.
"I believe you." His voice cuts the silence short.
"Are you sure?" I say biting my lip. I don't want him to be lying to me. I love him too much for him to think I'm crazy. I love him more than anyone could ever know. More than just best friends. I love him in a way that would get slurs thrown my way and I'm a way that would prove all my bullies right.
"I'm positive Finney. I always knew you were special." He gives me a soft smile. I pause digging up dirt and grab ahold of his hand. Still holding his hand, I lean against the cement wall, taking a break. He sits against the wall too, bringing his body closer to me.
"You think I'm special?" I put my head down slightly, attempting to hide my blush. He lets go of my hand and pulls it up to my face, tucking my hair behind my ear.
"You are the most special person I've ever met." He leans in closer to me. Our faces are 6 inches apart. I hold my breath as he lets his hand linger and then settle behind my neck. He pulls me closer and our lips connect.
The kiss is soft and gentle. I begin to deepen the kiss, grabbing his shoulders and pulling him closer. Slowly I go across his lap and sit on it. Both of his hands gripping the back of my neck, keeping me steady. Eventually we pull away from each other and now enjoying the silence.
"The most special person ever." He plants another kiss on my lips as I climb off his lap. I try to shake the blush from my cheeks, failing to do so.
"Thank you." I say in a small voice. He raises his eyebrows, "what for?"
"For kissing me back." A smile breaks out on his face, I'll never get tired of his smile.
"I can't believe you are thanking me for kissing you back." A small laugh leaves his mouth. The sound of steps coming down the stairs startled us. We both grab one of the rugs and cover the hole. Quickly we ran to the mattress and I lay down with my head on Robin's lap, pretending to sleep. A loud freak from the metal door fills the room, though I wanted to jump at the noise, I keep my body completely still.
"Good afternoon boys! How have you two been today?" I keep my eyes shut as the grabber takes a few steps closer.
"What do you want?" Robin says in a clear tone. The weight of the grabber sitting at the end of the bed startles me enough to make me sit up. He's wearing the top of a mask, showing just his smile.
"Finally awake I see!" His smile will forever be burned in my memory. I keep myself close to Robin, but pull my knees up to my chin, tensing my whole body.
"I said, what. do. you. want?" I can hear the hatred in Robin's voice. The Grabber fakes a pout.
"You don't need to be so mean Robin! I just wanted to apologize for last night. I'm sorry I got so upset. Your crying just really made me angry." He scoots himself closer to me and reaches a hand towards me.
"Please don't touch me." I whimper. He seems shocked at my response. Then quickly changing to anger.
"I said I'm sorry!" He raises his voice and pulls his hand away, reaching into his pocket. Robin puts an arm in front of me, as if to protect me. The grabber whips out a knife and holds it to Robins neck, pulling Robin to his feet.
"You did this! You made him hate me! Why are you such a NAUGHTY BOY!" He grabs Robin by the hair slicing his face. I jump up and grab onto his arm.
"LET HIM GO, PLEASE LET HIM GO!" Tears pour from my face as the grabber throws me to the ground. My vision goes black for a second and when I open my eyes, Robin is knocked out cold on the floor. I see the grabber with a wide smile stalking towards me.
"We are going to have some fun." He pulls me off my feet and slams me against the wall, placing a hand on my throat.
"Are you going to be my good boy, Finney?" My eyes start to water as he cuts off my air way. I try to shake my head yes.
"P-pl-please, I'll b-be g-go-good!" I manage to choke out. Black spots begin to dance around my vision. His grip loosens slightly and with that he drops me and begins to take a step back. I cough violently and finally look up. He has a knife sticking out of his throat.

I'm sorry for such a late update. I loved houses and kind of got lost in time for a bit. I hope this longer chapter makes up for it. I've already started the next character, so that'll be out soon. It's going to be shorter for sure, but since people said they wanted the boys out sooner rather than later, here we are! ❤️❤️❤️
