28. Trying times

"Baby" Billy whispers reaching out for me. I look up at him. I take his hands. Billy quickly grabs me and pulls me into his embrace. He holds me tight. "I'm so sorry. I didn't even think about how all Of that would make you feel! I am so sorry." He was holding me tight to him. I could hear his heart beating fast and I could feel his tears dropping to my head.

Joyce smiled and made her way back into the house. Billy stood there holding me and softly swaying me. "Baby you have to tell me what your feeling. You can't just run when you get scared, okay?" Billy says holding my face in his hand. "If I don't know your upset I can't fix things, you can't just run to Hop. I'm going to be your husband babe" he begins.

Quickly I stop him. "But your still my Boyfriend" I say swiftly. Billy was my entire life but I was still not okay with him lying to himself or others about what we were.

"Really, you want to correct me now baby" he says looking at me upset.

"Yes, until I have a ring on my finger I can't do it. I can't call you my husband. So soon to be husband. It has cause so much tension between us" I say looking at him sad. "I know you don't want to marry me but I can't pretend like we're something we're not"

Billy nods. "It's not that I don't want. I do now. I'm ready now, I wasn't then but I've grown and I've learned a life with out you baby is not a life I want to live. I'm not asking you now but please just know I will when the time is right and we are ready. Baby please believe me." Billy grabbed my face he stared deep in my eyes. We scanned each other's eyes then my eyes met his lips. He kissed me. He kissed me like no other time before. He kissed me like his life was on the line.

When we pulled away he said "baby I'm so sorry. I wasn't thinking tonight when I acted like I did with Terry. That man watching us in the window is the only dad and grandpa I want my girls to know" he waved at Hop over my shoulder. I turn to see him watching. "I promise I will never ever lets this happen again baby" he says holding me close again.

"Baby it's okay. I'm sorry I ran again. I won't do that again. I promise I'll talk to you when I'm upset" I say using my fingers to wipe my eyes of the tears that are forming.

He kisses my forehead and lets out a deep relieving breath. "That's all I can ask baby" he says smiling.

He kisses me again. Then he says "I'll meet you at home okay. Go talk to Hop" he kisses my forehead and heads to his car. I walk to the porch and meets hop.

"Hop, I'm sorry!" I say hugging him. "I'm sorry I yelled at you"

He hugs me and giggles. "I was right wasn't i"

"Yes, always" I say smiling.

"Now go be with you man babydoll" he says smiling and pointing to my car.

I nod and smiles at him. I get in the car and I drive home. When I get home Billy was sitting on the porch with Scarlett. When I get out of the car Billy takes Scarlett's hand and waves at me. I wave back.

"Momma" she says with her binky in her mouth. She holds her arms out and I take her. I sit on the swing next to Billy. He puts his arm around me. And rubs my shoulder with his fingers. "Momma" she says again. I smile at her and I repeat the word back to her. "Baby" she says smiling. She points at me.

"Yes baby Momma has a baby in her belly" I say smiling.

"Dada baby?" She ask pointing at Billy's stomach.

"Really" he says laughing. He tickles he and she laughs.

I just smile at them. Billy looks over at me. He smiles at me. He bends down slowly to kiss me. Scar takes her binky out and makes a kiss face at Billy. He leans down to kiss her and then teases her again and kisses me. I laugh and she cries out "nooooo" she makes the face again. He leans down and does it again kissing me. She starts to cry.

"Awe baby" he says taking her. He kisses her a bunch. He pulls me into him. He kisses my forehead. "I love my girls" he says softly swinging on the swing.

I just smile and I rub his thigh softly. "I love you too" I say giggling. I lay my head on his shoulder.

"Let's get some sleep baby you've got a big doctors appointment tomorrow." He says smiling at me. "I can't wait to hear all about it after work babe. I love being a daddy and this baby was everything we needed." he says smiling at me.

He takes Scarlett in his left arm. She was playing with a toy. Billy was teasing her and making her laugh. I walked ahead of them into the house. Billy takes Scarlett upstairs for a bath and I go to the kitchen to eat my dinner. I pull it out of the fridge and I heat it up. I sit at the couch table eating and reading. After a while Billy brings Scarlett down and comes up behind me. He kisses me on the forehead. "You and your damn books baby" he says laughing.

"Hey, you like sports and I look books. It's kind of what makes us so perfect" I say smiling.

Scarlett was asleep on his shoulder and he sat next to me. "It's like a movie. The jock and the brain" he says smiling at me.

"Well part of that is true. I am the brain. But I don't date jocks" I say smiling as I take off my glasses and put them in my book and pushing my food away.

"Well if jock isn't your type, than what is?" He whispers looking at me. His eyes fixated on my lips. He was softly bouncing Scarlett and licking his bottom lip looking at me.

I put my lips really close to his and I whisper "I like bad boys" right before I kiss him softly. I rested both of my hands on his thighs. I continue to kiss him. His hand has found it's way to the back of my neck. It is pulling me into his lips. Making it harder for me to escape, not that I wanted too.
