"Welcome back, my princess." The Other Father greets that night, stopping humming the lullaby he'd been to greet me.

He looked more alive tonight; black hair and button eyes shining, and plump lips shining. I'd opted to not eat much of my father's quickly cooked meal tonight, (as he'd actually been home to cook) hoping I could come back to get another taste of the Other Father's cooking that I swore was out of this world. Dad's was rushed tonight anyway.

"Hi," I greet, and he wraps his arms around me, giving me a gentle hug, placing a kiss at the top of my head.

"Before I start dinner, I wanna show you something." He says, leading me outside to the front, where the garden was.

Only this time, instead of seeing the broken-down grey, and lifeless garden from my world, I saw something even better. Just kidding, it was still grey and lifeless. That is, until the Other Father opened the gate to the garden, and a large crescent moon rises, causing the nearby foliage to begin to grow. A few dead shrubs start to rise before blossoming, and the blossoms themselves are lit by colors of gold and amber. Hummingbirds circle him and I, and light up my dragonfly necklace. They continue on and light up pitcher plants that've grown in a nearby flower bed.
