Part of your world

"Oh, by the way, Meeka. There is something I want to tell you." Moona then stood up and then stood in front of me. "I don't think you remembered this, but I have told you about my purpose on earth when we met in a dream world."

I look up. "Huh? What do you mean?"

"So, you don't remember. It's okay, I'm going to tell you again." She then kneeled and gave her hand. "So, Meeka, do you want to join me on my pilgrimage on earth?"

"Huh?" I was puzzled. Only God knew how puzzled I am. "Pilgrimage? what for? and.... Huh? What?"

"So, it's a long story. Let me start." Said Moona. Moona then wasted no time telling the story. It's so fascinating like a fantasy fiction. She is so keen and detailed about the story, like it's very coherent and fulfilled all 5W+1H.

Long story short, she finished her story telling. "So, do you understand, Meeka?" she asked. She was storytelling for almost 70 minutes.

For me, it was too much information for my brain, so I just replied with, "Huh?" I then asked her, "Hey, can you summarize your story in like 20 words or less?"

It snapped her. "Excuse me, Mister? Summarize? It WAS summarized. And you want ME to summarize my summarized story?" And she turned her back to me, sulking. Oh boy, if you were there, the atmosphere was dreadful.

"Okay-okay, I'm sorry." I stood up, took a glass of water, and went back to sit on my sofa. "So, let's recap what has happened from your story. 2 nights ago, you descended from the moon as a punishment for unwisely using your power. Then you lost your pendant on your way to the earth, and you somehow found it inside my home, but on the way to my home you were hungry and somehow, we met at the burrito stall."

"Well, yeah. That's almost correct." Said Moona. She turned her back against me and gave her hand again. "So, do you want to join?"

"One more question, Moona? Why me?" I asked her. That question inadvertently cornered her. I could see that she was uncomfortable with that question. She took quite a while to answer that question.

"So, Meeka. Because I want to be part of your world." Said Moona. Okay, I took back what I just said about her taking a while to answer. She wasted no time and was very-very tranquil with her answer. "Because I want to be part of your world."

God, that shook me. That sentence is so simple yet strong. But why does she want to be with me? an ordinary college student, never reached top 10 in class, having almost no friends, and questionable manners. Once again, I asked her, "But why?"

"Human earth loves to ask so many questions I see." Said Moona and then she laughed. The atmosphere changed so fast from dreadful to lovely. Her laugh made me laugh too. We laughed for almost 5 minutes. "Okay-okay, I will answer your question." And she took a deep breath to stop her laugh. "Because I want you to be part of my world too."

God, that shook me even stronger. "Okay, If you want it that way, I'm willing to join your pilgrimage on earth." Moona was so happy. She smiled so wide, so wide that you felt you could walk across that smile. "So, Moona. Do you have any plans for your pilgrimage?"

"About that...." Answered Moona. I have bad feelings about that. "My Father on the moon gave me quite a list." She continued. She took her robe and gave me a pendant. 'This pendant is for my guardian. But since I'm on earth and you are my guardian on earth, you might want to wear this."

"Okay..." I took the pendant and wore it on my neck. What was about to happen was something that I don't want to believe.
