Chapter 9

Nunew in awe as the maid and servants run around with a lot of things in their hand. Some bring fresh flowers and some bright rolls of mats, another bring colourful fabrics.

Last night both of them end up sleeping till sunrise as Nunew is probably too tired to wake Risha up and the kid do need a long rest anyway.

Waking up to the noise outside, Nunew turn to his side see Risha still fast asleep on the bed. Nunew let him be and tip toe to the door. He get fascinated as the maids didn't see him watching them carrying bunch of stuff around.

Nunew see Nana with her freshly baked cookies and stop her mid walk. "Hey Nana, what's going on here?"

"Ohh young master, you're finally awake I see. We are preparing a banquet to welcome Lady Yaya home since she's finally able to take a break from the military's"

"Oh I see, would there be a lot of people coming?" Nunew wonder.

"Yes of course, since Lady Yaya is considered our country pride. A lot of people would be coming and welcome her back so that's why every years Panich Family would be hosting a banquet in this mansion just for her"

"Alright you can continue your task now, I'll excuse myself" Nunew bow his head to Nana and she reciprocate back.

He walk to the dining area to see if he could get something to fill his stomach. Nunew stop in his track once he see Zee sitting there doing his paperwork?Eh?

"Good morning" Nunew greet him with a small smile. Zee look up and curtly answer "Good Morning"

They fall silent after the short greetings and Nunew awkwardness ate him up like no tomorrow. The excuse himself to the kitchen and see a lots of food probably for the banquet,he didn't dare to touch.

"You want something?" Zee stand behind his as Nunew get startled.

"Uh no, I'll just search for something for breakfast" He shyly answered.

Nunew look around for a while but a plate full of colourful macarons catch his vision as Nunew can't take his eyes away from the mouthwatering dessert.

The stare did not go unnoticed by Zee who's been looking at Nunew since they're in the kitchen together.

"I'll ask the maid to cook for you" Zee offers but Nunew shake his head no.

"No, I can manage this" Curling his lips upward, Nunew pat his loose pant and start rummaging a basket full of fresh fruit.

He takes a few of it and walk to the table in the middle of the kitchen to cut them up. Zee fold his hand watching Nunew from the side. The younger ignores the tall presence on his back while he prepares his own breakfast.

"What did you make?" Zee ask once they're back on the dining table. Taking a seat at the head, Zee raise his brow on the younger who happily place two plates in front of them.

"Here yours, since you've been watching me with your eagle eyes as if I would burn you mansion down" Nunew roll his eyes playfully but still sharing his breakfast with Zee.

Zee look at the food in front of him and turn to look at Nunew a few times to confirm. "For me?"

"Well duhh, who else?" Nunew bite back.

On his first bite Nunew remember something and he stand abruptly pushing the chair away.

"Risha" His voice out his worry and try to get to him but Zee catch his hand. "It's okay I'll get him, you can eat first"

Zee walk to his chamber and see Risha restlessness not having Nunew by his side of the empty bed. "Baba" Risha call Nunew just for Zee to show up in front of him.

"Come" Zee hold his hand out for hic child to take as he guide him to the dining area.

The child light up once he see Nunew sitting on the chair patiently waiting for them. "Didn't I told you to eat first?"

Zee tch but Nunew ignore it as he welcomes Risha into his arm. "Well hello sweetheart, how is your sleep hmm?"

"Great" Risha showing both thumbs up with a cheeky grin.

"Alright come and eat breakfast with us" Nunew pick him up and put Risha on his lap to feed him the salad.

"Sorry Baba can't cook delicious food for you but this will do right?As long as Risha is not with an empty stomach"

The child didn't wait for Nunew to finish his talk as he already open his mouth wide to be fed.

"Risha" Zee with his stern voice not liking how his child wanted to be fed when he can eat by himself.

"It's okay, let him be" Nunew get a spoonful of chicken meat and let Risha munch on it once the spoon reach his mouth.

Risha clap his hand excitedly as his eyes spark with each bite. "Zee make sure both of them eat their share before having his own.

'It's actually very good...'nahh it's the most delicious food he ever taste actually. Well he can't say that out loud for Nunew to hear. Zee actually enjoy the salad too as he finish his food quickly than the two others.

Nunew still babying Risha as he spoon fed him and the kid enjoy that too much as his dangling feet sway in rhythm coming from his mind.

Zee gaze at them with a fond smile that appears out of nowhere but he quickly concealed it once Nunew look over his way.

"Make sure to finish all of that, no food waste" Zee clear his throat and take his plate to the kitchen for the maid to clean.

His eyes turn to a plate of macarons and a thought comes to his mind.

"Don't serve that to the guest and ask Nana to bake another cookies as a replacement"

"But Master..."

"Just do as I told you to" Zee let out a huff.

"Do you want me to set this aside?" The maid ask for confirmation and Zee nod.

"Just put it in Nunew's room later tonight" And he walk out of the kitchen as if nothing happen.
