Lights, Camera, Action!

The Aftermath.

I could feel the sun on my skin before my eyes even opened, signaling that it's late in the morning. I tried to open my eyes but it's as if they were sealed shut.
Remembering the events of lastnight fresh tears started to spring. I didn't know I had any tears left after last night.

Hearing my sniffling Dwayne came over, ' where's Sean and Kady? I asked. 'Well, Kady is driving back here after hearing what happened and Sean and Jazz are busy doing damage control'. I felt even worse, I'm alone, no one to hold my hand no one to tell me that its going to be ok.

As if he's reading my mind he came over over and said 'you're not alone, I'm here and I won't leave, no matter what'. I opened my mouth to say thank you but all came out was a sob.

Like a hurricane everything came crashing again, and he held me again this time rocking me like baby in a cradle.

Eventually I fell asleep again, in his arms I found comfort but it was uncomfortable because he was my employee. However, I needed someone in my corner and employee or not he is here.

Five hours later, I can feel my body starting to involuntary shake. I couldn't control my body, I'm not sure who came in but they yelled for doctor. 

I could feel him over me, asking the nurses questions, checking my vitals and checking my temperature. That was all I could remember before my eyes were sealed shut again.

My mind was awake, I could hear voices in the background. Specifically, Sean crying and asking the nurses what had happened. I wanted to answer or move my head but I couldn't do anything, I tried to move my fingers but that didn't work either.

I was so focused trying to move that I didn't hear the doors opened.
'Oh my gosh!.. we have an argument for one day and this is what happened?' Immediately breaking down kay came to my side and held my hand. What?!' Sean asked, I'll talk to you about that later she said.

The doctor came in again and gave them a brief description of what my injuries were and about the baby. He told them to be extremely careful with me as I had a concussion, fractured right arm, dislocated leg and some mild bruising. Also he said that I was loosing weight rapidly due to me not eating, because of that he'll keep me two more nights under observation.

Thanking the doctor both Sean and Kady began talking to each other, asking if they should call my mom. I knew Sean had work as an independent journalist, but he was trying to be here as much as possible. Kay was on the phone making phone calls about changes in the office. I knew that by now most persons would have known what would have happened, and if I knew my friend a public statement was ready and also an email for the staff.

Mentally smiling, I felt myself drifting off again. This time wondering where Dwayne was.
