They entered Xander's house, he saw him drinking from the Absolut bottle. Not even using a cup, just straight from the bottle.
April quickly turned to Jasper and whispered "Don't say anything."
He looked at her and shook his head. Why would she stay with a guy like that?
"Hey babe come here.", yelled Drake from across the room. He had a deep, scary voice.
"I'll see you later...I guess.", April said to Jasper, she half smiled then walked away.
Jasper walked back to his stool in the kitchen, sat down, reached behind him and got a beer. He didn't pour it into a cup, he just drank it.
What was so good about Drake? Why would she stay with a guy like that? Would he hurt her if she left him? What was it?
Wherever it was. She deserved better. Wether it was him or not, Drake was not good for her.
After 3 weeks of chance, he has fallen in love with April Clark, made friends with Xander, and several others. Speaking of Xander, there he was at the door. Letting in Harrison the DJ, who had 4 dudes behind him carrying in speakers, a table, a computer, and a bunch of cables.
After they set up, Harrison began speaking into his headset and said:
"Alright, not that I'm here we can call this a party. But today I'm not taking requests, I received a list from Xander, and since it's his party.....I agreed. Here we go."
He scratched on his turn tables, and began playing some rock song. Jasper didn't recognize it, which was weird since he enjoyed most rock and metal songs. Soon after, the song faded out into a popular dance song.
That's when everyone went to the living room, they started dancing and shouting.
Then Jasper saw Aliss making her way over to him. She was a pretty girl, but it wasn't his April. The girl he was in love with.
"Why aren't you dancing?", she inquired.
"I uh...," Jasper began to stutter, he didn't really have reason, "I really like this beer."
"Bullshit..come on, let's dance!"
She didn't even give him a chance to say yes or no, she just took his hand and made their way to the living room. Jasper never really learned how to dance, but he just copied whatever the guys were doing, moving their arms around and grinding against the girls. Looked more like sex with clothes on, but Aliss was having fun, and Jasper started getting the groove, and synchronizing with the music.
Once the song was over, it changed to like a slow dance romantic thing.
"Alright this one's for the couples!", shouted Harrison, who seemed bored as he relaxed on the turn tables and let the song play out.
Jasper turned to go sit down, but Aliss grabbed his arm and said,
"What? Am I that ugly? You can't just dance with me?, she smiled brightly and winked.
Jasper laughed, "no no, I just, you know, couples dance."
"So? Let's dance. We're both single."
"How do you know that?"
"I've done my research, you actually pretty cute Jasp."
He smiled, "Thanks, uh..let's dance!"
They danced, slowly, she stared into his eyes. She stared so passionately, as if her eyes were saying "kiss me". She then later her head against his chest and wrapped her arms around him tighter.
"This is nice.", said Aliss. She lifted her head, smiled at Jasper, and stared into his eyes, "I like you Jasper."
"I like you too Aliss you're pretty cool.", he smiled after he replied.
"No, I like you, as like more than a friend."
"I um...", Jasper didn't know how to reply. He loved April, he might have a chance with her. Aliss was pretty, she was cool, and had a nice body. But she wasn't April, "I'm not sure how to respond to that."
"It's okay if you don't like me back," she half smiled, she seemed deflated. "I understand."
She let go and walked back towards the kitchen, grabbed a beer, and sat down next to her friends. Jasper turned around, how would he reply to that. Aliss was pretty and all, and April was taken. He needed to go, now. His mind was racing, and he couldn't control his thoughts and emotions. He went to Xander who was upstairs yelling at a couple who had gone upstairs into his parents bedroom.
"Get the fuck out of there, that rooms off limits!" Xander was yelling loudly, "Go do that shit in my room for all I care."
Xander signed and sat on the floor, then looked up to see Jasper walk up the last couple of steps.
"Hey bro, what's up?"
"I'm leaving dude."
"Oh alright bro, you all good?"
"Yeah, yeah. I've had too much to drink."
"Then let someone drive you home dude."
"Nah, I didn't have that many."
"Alright dude, I expect to see you in school on Monday."
"Yeah yeah, of course."
Jasper walked off, went down the stairs. Looked through to the kitchen and saw Aliss sitting there talking to her friends. He walked through the living room to the door, turned around and saw April. Who was hugging on Drake, who was drinking whiskey from its bottle.
He walked out the door, popped his trunk, grabbed his 6 pack of lemonade alcohol. Put it in his passengers seat, started his car, grabbed one and drove off.
All while thinking of what to do. What choice to make, wait for a girl, who deserves so much more, who loves her boyfriend, and probably won't leave him. Or choose a girl who isn't April, and would definitely be with him?
"It's gonna be a long ride home", Jasper thought.
And it was. Full of thought, and the argument going through his head.
Wait for April, or choose Aliss?
