you were expecting just about anything to happen. anything but this.
there were many words that could be used to describe the current situation. unexpected. appalling. shocking. staggering even.
but at the same time, you felt a great amount of relief wash over you.
though, the heated staring contest that dottore and childe were currently having was not only incredibly awkward for you, but embarrassing as well.
it felt like you were caught up in the middle of an argument between two exes, patiently waiting for a way to escape.
"ah tartaglia. i wasn't expecting you to show up," dottore voiced in an exuberant tone. childe continued to glare at him, not amused in the slightest.
he then grabbed dottore's arm, pulling him away from you, while you stood there watching absent-mindedly. "i'll give you one minute to explain yourself, dottore."
the curly haired man could only nervously laugh in response. he had to admit, he was far too stunned after seeing childe's sudden appearance to be able to come up with any excuse.
he rubbed the back of his neck, while averting his gaze elsewhere. "i was merely visiting y/n, relax. i had no intention of doing anything else."
"i heard the entire conversation, including the absolute bullshit that you spouted from that filthy mouth of yours," childe retorted.
to be honest, you had many expectations of how childe was like in person, but you could have never anticipated him to be so solemn during your first time meeting him.
it made you wonder what happened to the idiot who'd often text you random nonsense. was he only like that online?
"but was it truly absolute bullshit, tartaglia?" dottore grinned, lazily shrugging his shoulders.
childe hesitated to answer for a brief moment, before quickly shaking it off. "why did you visit y/n?"
the other man rolled his eyes at childe's arrogance.
columbina, getting tired of the tediousness, decided to join in. she walked towards you guys, while intertwining her fingers. "we simply wanted to speak with her, don't be so mad."
childe wasn't convinced by a thing the either of them said. he furrowed his eyebrows in annoyance.
sandrone decided to not take part in the dispute, she couldn't be bothered to.
