you were used to spending almost all holidays alone. even if today was new years eve, it was like an ordinary day for you.
though this year, you would've spent it with childe like you did on christmas, but unfortunately, he was occupied the whole day. and you couldn't blame him since his job was difficult. despite him slacking most of the time.
the clock had just hit 9pm and you were exhausted. doing work then studying never gave you any time to rest.
currently, you were trying to finish an assignment due tomorrow night. you wanted to get it out of the way since it'd give you time to at least relax on new years. maybe go shopping due to the sales.
as you were lost in your thoughts, you noticed your water bottle was empty and got up to refill it. however, just when you were about to walk to the kitchen, you heard the doorbell ring.
after placing the water bottle down, you made your way to the door. you could hear loud sounds of people talking from the other side. well, more like people arguing.
upon opening the door, you were surprised to see the directors all huddled up around your entrance.
"hello y/n!" childe greeted you casually. "how're you?"
"hiiii y/n!!!" columbina pushed him away and gave you a big hug. "we missed you!"
