currently, you were dealing with all kinds of emotions. anger. skepticism. confusion. despair. incredulity.

none of it made any sense to you. how could childe kill your father? the answer is, he couldn't. there had to be another explanation.

but you didn't let him explain. at the moment, you were far too angry to. no explanation could justify killing an old man.

even if he was previously part of the mafia, he retired. he was living a normal life. so why was he killed?

did the tsaritsa lie to you? but the proof she showed you was inevitable. you saw him killing your father with your own two eyes.

there was no other possibility. it couldn't have been a lie. childe did indeed kill your father.

what would talking to him do? nothing. it'd only make you more distressed.

however, what were you going to do now? just leave him and never talk again? you couldn't do that. even if you wanted to, you couldn't.

yet you couldn't believe that childe killed your father either. and you hated yourself for wanting to still love him.

angry tears pooled your eyes, making it difficult to see ahead.

you wanted to talk to him, yet at the same time, you never wanted to see him again. the thought of him murdering your father flooded your mind, never once leaving you alone.

it wasn't possible to forgive him for something like this. any normal person would have the same reaction.

there was just no way you could ever forget about it.

once you arrived home, you noticed your mother standing by the door. your eyes widened as she met your gaze.

she gave you a small smile, while you remained bewildered. after wiping away the few tears that managed to escape, you walked over to her. "mom, what are you doing here so late?"

the h/c woman patted your shoulder, "your father passed away. i wanted to let you know."

you bit your lip as you felt a familiar burning sensation erupt in your stomach. "i already know."

"ah." she then crossed her arms, averting her attention elsewhere. "did you also know that your partner killed him."

despite already knowing that as well, the words still irked you. "i know."

"you're dating your father's murderer," she continued.

once again, her words bothered you more than you realized. something about her speaking so lightly about the topic was bothersome. like she didn't really care.
