Tony Stark had the reputation of being a playboy, caring more about having sex than actually dating. That was until he met you. He had—quite literally—ran into you in the streets. Neither one of you were looking and rammed into each other, his coffee spilling all over you. As apologies spewed from your mouth, Tony was too caught up in staring. When he finally pulled himself out of his thoughts, he told you that he'd buy you a new outfit right then and there. You tried your best to deny, saying that you were headed home anyway, but Tony Stark did not take no for an answer. After that, you couldn't get him out of your life.

It has been about four months since that day, and now you and Tony were officially dating. As you got to know Tony, you realized how soft and caring he was. Because of his reputation, you told him that you weren't immediately ready to have sex with him and he understood, promising that he would be okay with waiting until you were ready.

Tonight, Tony had taken you to your favorite restaurant and Broadway show. He kept acting like a gentleman the whole time—not like that was knew, but tonight it was just extremely attractive. You kept nibbling on your bottom lip to try and keep yourself from just jumping on him. As he rambled about something Steve had said before going on this date, the two of you walked to the door of your apartment. You were barely focused on his words as all you could think about was finally being intimate with him. You were ready.

Tony didn't stop rambling as you unlocked the apartment door. You pushed it open, turned around, grabbed Tony's hand, and roughly pulled him inside. You shut the door and pushed him against it with a desperate kiss. Tony was briefly taken off guard before he willingly responded with the same passion. As the two of you kissed, your hands wandered over Tony, trying to tug his clothes off.

"Wait, wait," Tony mumbled against your lips, trying to break away from you. He looked in your eyes, which were already dilated. "Are you sure?"

You nodded. "I'm sure," you responded, voice full of promise and desire. "I'm ready."

"I just don't want to do anything you aren't ready for. We've waited for awhile already, I'm okay with waiting a little longer. I—"

You cut him off with another kiss. You tried your best to convey to him through the action that you were serious and ready to take the next step.

"Tony," you breathed out after barely parting your lips. "I'm ready."

~~~
You and Tony went slow that night. Tony wanted to make sure that you were comfortable and taken care of. He didn't care for his own pleasure, wanting to make sure that you knew that this was about you and that he worshiped you.
After the two of you had come down from the high, Tony got you cleaned up and the two of you cuddled underneath your sheets. You slowly started to fall asleep as Tony whispered sweet words and pressed kisses around your body.
"I love you," he mumbled against your skin. "You are so amazing... I am so lucky..."
"Love you," you muttered before finally drifting off to sleep.
~~~

The morning came faster than you would have liked. The sun trickled through your curtains, allowing you to feel the light warmth coming from it. As you laid there, still naked, you couldn't feel Tony up against you. Reaching out your arms, you tried to bring him closer to you. But all you felt was nothing. Your eyes opened to confirm that you were indeed in bed alone. Trying not to panic too quickly, you slowly sat up and glanced around the room. You couldn't see any sign of him anywhere, or even hear him. Your thoughts began racing.

Had the last four months been a lie? Was this all some game to Tony? Had Tony been using you just to get sex and now was he done with you? When had he even left? Was it as soon as you had fallen asleep?

Tears were over whelming your eyes as your thoughts continued to spiral. Your eyes were dazed, looking straight forward until the door opening wider caught your eye. Your gaze snapped toward the door to see Tony, clad in only his underwear, walking in with a tray of food. He looked at you with a large smile.

"Good morning, honey," Tony greeted. "I didn't think—wait. Are you crying? What's wrong?" He stopped in front of your bed, not understanding what was going on and not wanting to press your boundaries.

"You... you stayed," you whispered, clear shock in your voice as a few tears strayed down your face.

"I stayed? Of course I stayed. Why did you think I didn't?"

"You weren't here when I woke up. I thought... I thought..."

"You thought I left? That I wouldn't want to wake up beside you?" You sheepishly nodded, unable to really make eye contact with him. "Sweetheart." He came around, set the tray on your desk, and then sat beside you on the bed. "Look at me." You looked up through your lashes. "I would hope that you had more faith in me than that, but I understand my past hasn't been the prime positive example for you about how I've treated women. I do feel incredibly terrible about how I've acted in the past but I've changed. You've changed me. Last next was one of the most incredible experiences of my life and then to wake up beside you this morning was even better. I wanted to show you just a slice of how much I care about you by making you food." One of his calloused hands came up and cupped your face. "I care about you. I wouldn't leave you high and dry, especially on the first night together." He kissed your lips briefly, not even giving you time to respond. "I'm sorry I scared you."

"I'm sorry I got scared... I just... I just care about you much more than I thought I would in such a short amount of time."

"Me too."

"Thank you for your patience." You pecked his lips. "It means a lot."

"Of course."

"Can I see this breakfast you've made?"

"Maybe we can order in. I don't know—"

"Tony. I want to see it." You gave him a teasing smile. "Please."

"Fine." He stood up and went for the tray. "But remember that I never said that I was a cook."

Tony set the tray over your blanket covered lap and you tried not to immediately laugh. The plate sitting in front of you was a complete mess. There was burnt toast, what you think was scrambled eggs, and horribly cut fruit.

"It's not too bad," you said while trying to stifle a laugh.

Tony rolled his eyes. "You're a terrible liar."

"I appreciate the effort." You pulled him done to kiss you. "A lot."

Tony moaned into the kiss, deepening it. "What do you say about ordering in after having a different type of breakfast?"

"I say... show me what you mean, Mr. Stark."
