Love At First Sight

Chapter 1

"Max! wake up! you cannot afford to be late for school" My mom screamed from downstairs

I got up from bed and wore my fluffy slippers and walked to the bathroom, still sleepy

I took my brush, applied toothpaste and brushed my teeth

I washed my face and headed to the shower to have a warm bath

After bathing, I tried my
best to place my hair in a bun and wore a black baggy hoodie with jeans shorts

I wore my sneakers and headed downstairs

Mom was busy making breakfast whiles Macey was doing her homework

We moved to New York after mom divorced dad a month ago. Turns out he was cheating on her

She gave us scrambled eggs and toasted bread with tea

I sat at the dining table and began eating

"Sweetie, no homeworks at the dining table ,you know that" she said taking the books from the table

Macey rolled her eyes at her mothers behavior, for a 10 year old, she really is sassy

I took my plate to the sink and hugged my mom good bye

I went out and took the bus to my new school: New York Academy, a pretty rich school

As I arrived at the location, I bumped into someone.

I quickly apologised and took my bag from the floor

The person I bumped into was a male

By the looks of it, he was asian, with his almond shaped eyes, long black hair that reached the end of his neck, a sharp jawline, a pointy nose and plump lips, he was pretty handsome(I suck at given descriptions, forgive me😭😭)

He was pretty tall, 6"6 towering my 5"5 body

He waved it's okay and began to walk into the school

I then snapped out of my trance and walked into the school

I was asked to go to the principal's office for my schedule

As I entered the office, I was greeted by an old man, probably in his 40's

he asked me to sit down and I gladly did

his office was pretty big with a grandfather clock at the left side of the office

The theme of the office was black and white

I continued to stare at the clock, its loud ticking sound was the only thing I heard

It felt like I was being hypnotized by the sound

"This clock was the last thing my father left me after his death" The principal said pointing to the inscription on its side

"N.W, that was his initials"

"Oh" was the only thing I could say

"My name is Nathan Wilson and I am the principal but you can call me Sir Wilson if you'd like" He said

I nodded yes not wanting to talk since I'm not much of a talker

He nodded and gave me a piece of paper which I assumed was my schedule

I took it and examined my classes for today

It seemed History was my first subject

I placed the paper in my bag and nodded my head before getting up to leave

Before leaving, I heard him say" If there is any trouble or if you need anything, don't hesitate to tell me"

I nodded and left the space before exhaling a breath I didn't know I kept

I headed to my first class and thats when I realised something

I did not know where I was going.
