Chapter 10

He kissed me....

His soft lips against mine were heavenly

I stood there frozen

My brain had temporarily shut down

'THUMP THUMP'

My heart is beating loud against my chest

Fireworks and butterflies exploded in me

I couldn't help melting into the kiss

My first, real kiss

With a guy I don't know

Honestly

I like this

After several seconds which felt like hours, he broke away from the kiss

He placed his forehead on mine

"I can't wait to see you on Saturday", He said before leaving with Max

So much feelings were threatening to break

I looked at his disappearing figure, before turning to meet Mom at the gate

"Sweetie, are you okay, you are red", She asked with concern laced in her expression

I touched my face and could indeed feel the warmth oozing out of my cheeks

"I-I'm fine", I said, trying to calm my crazy heart

"If you say so", she said, starting the car

We got home and I ran up to my room and laid stomach flat on the bed

I screamed in my pillow and couldn't help but feel...happy

It was like a firework show in my belly

I slept that night, smiling like a fool

Monday came by quickly and I really couldn't get the courage to get of my bed

After minutes of staring a t my ceiling, I gathered up little courage and went to the bathroom to freshen up

I wore a long sleeved top and jeans and left my natural hair alone

I went downstairs and was met by the smell of my mom's cooking

"Sweetie, come sit"

Macey and I sat down

"That cool guy was so handsome, and his brother too", Macey said, stuffing her mouth with pancakes

"Well look who just made a friend, what about you Max?... What did you do?", Mom asked as she sat down and began a meal

"Hmm nothing much"

"Okay, well hurry up, you both have to get to school"

We arrived at my school, after dropping of Macey

"Bye, Love you"

"Bye", I waved her as she drove off

I began moving towards the school gate when I think I heard my name

I looked left and right, but saw nothing

I ignored it and moved towards the school

I heard running behind and looked back to see a figure running towards me

"Max!"

"S-Symba?"
