I dropped down to his level, my cheeks wet from tears, and let the feeling of relief wash over me. Maximus didn't cry or scream or turn into a complete mess like I did, burying my face on his pillow. He stroke my hair gently, the way an elder would to a young child.
"I miss you, Y/N." He said softly.
'I missed you like hell. Like the world will collapse if you're not in my arms sooner' I wanted to say, but my crying didn't let me. Instead, Maximus said, "I know you miss me too."
I lift my head up and smiled to the mature little boy who's looking straight into my eyes.
"Thank you, Maximus." I breath out.
"For what?"
"For holding on."
He smiled, like it was something so natural for him to do. Which isn't supposed to be. He has been through hell and survived, no one could blame him if he frowns. But instead, he wore that smile like every pain, every suffering he faced is a joyful memory.
"I want to thank you too, Y/N." He said.
"What for?" I smiled playfully.
"For keeping your promise." He looked out the window where the moon hanged bright.
The rest of the night, I held him tightly in my arms, whispering all the good things I saw in the palace.
"I saw the shiniest of floors and the brightest of gold." I said as I rub his eyebrows to sleep. "Good night, Maximus." I kissed his forehead.
Maximus is fast asleep and dawn is soon to be breaking, so I left our short night together and head back to the palace.

I hid myself underneath branches of trees through the palace garden. I tried my best to be swift and traceless, but failed miserably as I passed through the arena, thinking it would be a shortcut.
"Where do you think you're going?" A voice said.
My feet froze and my breath turned shallow. I kept quite.
"It's not your fault." The voice said again.
I didn't understand what he meant, but the words softened my heart, like I have been waiting for them to be said to me.
"You have no choice but to obey Fredrick, just like the rest of them." I heard footsteps getting closer. "So it's not your fault."
I turned around to find Prince Alexander standing tall infront of me. I don't know if it's the dim lighted arena or the breeze that came from the wide windows, but something made me lose my balance. I stumbled forward into his arms, which surprised me that he didn't just let me fall to the ground. He did hate me from what I know of.
He didn't let me go, holding my arms tight as I struggle to find my balance. Until, he picked me up, allowing me to stand. I kept my eyes on my feet trying to avoid eye contact with the prince.
"So this time, Fredrick needs a witch, huh?" He said.
I quickly lift my head up, unable to avoid eye contact anymore. His dark brown eyes are intrested. "How did you know?" I spat.
He laughed humourlessly. "You told me, remember?" He walked a little closer, lessening the gap between us.
When did I ever told him that? I clenched my cloak with my fist, trying to find the holes in my disguise.
"I am a witch." He whispered. "They were your words, Y/N." He kept his eyes on me.
That's when I remembered our encounter in the forrest. "How did you know it was me?" I asked.
He smiled. "Your lips, your jaw," his eyes went to my lips then my jaw, "your voice." His eyes went back to mine. "It took me a while actually, you're good at keeping your disguise. You kept a prince like me in the dark this long."
"Does Fredrick know?" I ran out of breath, so I used up whatever left was in my lungs.
"No." He said sternly. "And he doesn't need to." I breath out, reliefed.
"You're not out of the woods yet, Y/N. Now tell me, why did Fredrick summon you?" His voice is interrogative, demanding, emphasising every word.
I kept my mouth shut. There is no way I can tell him that I'm here to kill him with magic.
"What on earth is going on in here?" A booming voice filled the arena. It startled me, but Prince Alexander just seemed annoyed.
It was the king. He came with a line of guard behind his back, following him like ducklings following a mother duck.
"Father." Prince Alexander bowed his head down and I curtsied. The prince's annoyed expression turned into respect so quickly, I find it unsincere.
"Why is Y/N in the arena? And aren't you supposed to be practicing for the olympics, Alexander?" The king asked.
"My apologies, Father. I'll stop slacking around and practice immediately." He said.
"And I'll get going, Your Majesty, Fredrick must be waiting." I curtsied then turn around to leave.
As I walk away, I can hear Alexander and the king talking.

I have been sick these past few days *sad face emoji. But, here I am with another chapter!!!! I hope you like this one. I'm not very pleased with this chapter, I feel like I can write better, but my mind is just so clouded, so as usual, if you have anything to say about my writing feel free to comment, I appreciate it so much.
This story is pretty heavy with twist and turns and characters, so if you're looking for some light reading this might not be right for you. I actually have another story (a completed story) if you want something lighter, so go check it out! It's called His Dream Life| Park Solomon. It is a lighter more casual story about high school romance.
Sho modeled for kangol reward and his pictures are amazing!!! He looks gorgeous in every pict♡
This is a picture he updated yesterday, isn't he so beautiful? He's such a model. He was infront of the tokyo tower. Have you been there?
