"Mom-"

"It's been almost a full month since you've found yourself a decent girlfriend. stop fooling around with relationships and act serious, son. If you keep toying around with these poor girls' hearts, you'll be the one getting heartbroken in the end." His mother cast an stern eye towards Caden, causing him to sigh in frustration. And that's why Caden absolutely dreaded telling his mother things. Caden sighed and closed his eyes impatiently. He hated how she always judged and pitied him.

"Why are you so concerned in my love-life so suddenly anyway, mom? It's not like you're ever with me. Why are you interested so suddenly?!" Caden didn't realize how high his voice sounded. Oh-oh, his mom was about to yell back. He was surprised when she didn't respond. Instead, she just sat up and cleared her throat.

"Son, you know that I have work." She explained curtly, moving a loose strand of hair that was getting in the way of her face.

Caden rolled his eyes. "Yeah, whatever. You have work that's obviously more important than you're own fu*king son." He stood up and pushed the chair roughly into the table and stormed off.

"Language, Caden!" She yelled after him. He instantly stopped in his tracks and turned around to face her.

"Don't," He hissed. "Don't you dare tell me what to do." He stomped off towards the front door and opened it. He took one glance back at his mother who looked very furious. "And by the way, I do have a girlfriend. Her name is Natalia." He lied easily, walked out, then slammed the door directly into her face, leaving her in complete shock.

He breathed in the air of the cold refreshing air and shoved his hands deep into his pockets. He took his pack of cigarettes out of his back pocket and took one out, lighting it up before popping into his mouth. He stared out into his driveway that held his mother's car. God, he hated her so much. He spit out the cigarette and placed it into the ashtray, after doing so he jumped off the porch.

Taking out his cell phone, he called someone he thought he would have never called in a million years. The person on the other line immediately picked up.

"Hi dad," He breathed in.

Natalia peered at the girl who was sitting in front of her, who was running her mouth non-stop. She never thought of Violet as the talkative type.

"Right." Hailee chimed in, snapping Natalia out of her thoughts.

"Um, sorry. What are we talking about again?" She asked, completely clueless of what the girls were talking about.

"Ugh," They both groaned in unison. "I said that Grant that has an amazing six pack." Violet stared straight-faced at Natalia and she chuckled.

"And Hailee, how do you know that he has an 'amazing six pack'?" Natalia asked Hailee, who was too busy shoving her face in her phone. She looked up at Natalia with a confused expression plastered on her face.

"What?" She asked curiously.

"Nevermind." Natalia rolled her eyes and Violet cleared her throat as she sat up.

"So, what's going on between you and Jeremiah?" Violet looked towards Natalia, indicating that the question was made for her. Natalia smiled at her.

"Good. How about you and Grant? And how long have you all been dating again?" Violet stuck her thumbs up, causing the two other girls to stifle a laugh.
