The next morning... (Wednesday)

"What do you mean, you're quitting?!" Dylan yelled, outraged. Natalia backed the phone away from her ear and sighed.

"Look, Dylan. I'm really enjoying working here with everyone but I can't work two jobs at once and then have school on top of that. It's just too much work for me; it's tiring and exhausted." She explained tiredly. When she first told Dylan, he freaked out.... well, he's still freaking out.

"Fine." He answered angrily before hanging up the phone. Natalia nearly burst out laughing at how angry he got.
She sighed and dropped her phone on the desk.

"What happened?" Hailee asked when she realized how stressed Natalia looked.

"Dylan got mad. Like, really mad." She explained, rubbing her hands over her face.

"You need to rest, girl." Hailee stated as shook her head and chuckled.

"I can't when I'm in school, dumbnut. Plus Ms.Snapphywhether is like literally going to kill us with the way she's looking at us. Look, she's practically eye-raping us!" Natalia whispered-yelled to her best friend. Hailee started laughing uncontrollably.

"That's enough, girls!" She snapped angrily.

"What's got your panties in a twist?" Liam asked, rolling his eyes. He was so aggravating. Ms.Snapphywhether glared at Liam and pointed to the door.

"Out. Get out of my classroom!" She yelled at him. The whole class erupted in laughter. He lifted his arms up in surrender and stood up when she threatened to call his mother. "Today we will be presenting projects. Courtney and Kevin, you're up first." She demanded. Courtney and Kevin obediently stood up and walked towards the classroom. Natalia was surprised that he hadn't tried to make a dirty or flirty move on her yet. He was KEVIN.

"Okay," Courtney started, pointing to the powerpoint that was on the smart board. "We were told to just make definitions of words and just answer questions from the Genetics unit." She explained. The first word that showed up on the screen was Heredity. Kevin cleared his throat and stepped up to the screen.

"Heredity is the passing of genetic traits from parents to offspring," Kevin explained, pointing to an illustration as well. "We also decided to make a Punnett Square. One of the questions were, 'If a homozygous black Guinea pig (BB) is crossed with a homozygous white Guinea pig (bb), what would it be?" A smart kid in the back raised their hand. "Yes, Daniel?" Kevin asked.

"All of the squares will be a lowercase b then an uppercase B." Daniel explained carefully. Kevin nodded his head an the two continued on with their lesson. Natalia was snapped out of her thoughts when Ms.Snappywhether called her and Hailee's name.

She quickly stood up and grabbed the poster board and walked to the front of the room. Hailee grabbed the 3D presentation of the double helix and walked with her.

Their presentation went smoothly and they actually received a standing ovation ay the end of class.

"Very well done, girls." Ms.Snapphywhether told the two as the walked back to their seats. Natalia for once smiled at her.

Leilah and Caden made a fool of themselves when it was their turn. They didn't even come up with a project, turns out that he couldn't stand her. Jeremiah and Jimmy on the other hand did pretty good with their presentation. Although the whole time they were presenting, Jeremiah kept glued on Natalia.

The rest of the school day sped by quickly, probably because Natalia was thinking about her date with Caden tomorrow. She was absolutely was thrilled, even though she had no idea where he was going to take her.

The next afternoon.... (Thursday)

Natalia stared at her reflection in her full-length mirror and smiled. She wS currently wearing a plain white T-shirt and a floral skirt, along with a pair of black flats. She flattened her hair then curled it to make it look wavy. Her makeup was simple, a wing of eyeliner on both eyes, a layer of mascara, and a layer of light pink eye shadow.

She took out her red lipstick and put on a layer on lips before walking downstairs to the parking lot. Caden was leaning on his motorbike casually, wearing a suit and tie. Natalia practically drooled.

"Would you like to take a picture? It would last longer," Caden stated as he pushed himself off the bike. His smirk grew wider as she nodded her head no. "I'm only kidding." He whispered into her ear, causing shivers to run down on her spine. Her breath hitched in her throat when he pressed a simple kiss to her forehead. "Ready?" He asked when he pulled away from her. She nodded her head and followed him to his bike.

In a matter of seconds, the motorcycle turned to life and wet zooming down the road. Her feet left the pavement and she immediately grabbed onto his waist.

Let the date begin.
