At 2:30 in the afternoon, Natalia was completely exhausted. She laid on her bed bundled up in her covers, trying to take a quick nap before she had to go to school. Geez, who knew that working that job was so much work? Her feet ACHED. Now imagine walking around a building all day
in HEELS, coming home, then going straight to school? Trust me, it's tiring.

The alarm on her phone went off 30 minutes later. She groaned in frustration as she sat up and threw the covers off of her body.

An hour later she arrived at school wearing light acid denim washed jeans, a white spaghetti strap crop top, brown sandals and a black beanie on the top of her head.

She decided to do something different with her hair today; so she flat ironed it. She had to admit, she felt really weird with straight hair because usually she'd be going to school with a big poof ball surrounding her head.

Natalia tightened her grip around her laptop as a boy in the hall started to look at her weirdly.

"Yes. My hair is straightened. Is that a problem?" She bucked at the boy who was staring at her.

"N-no," He stuttered scarily. "You just look really pretty like that.. Um, I got to go now." The boy ran off and Natalia snickered out loud to herself. Scaredy cat. When she walked into the classroom, she almost instantly realized the absence of her teacher. Instead, there was man writing on the chalk board.

"Class. Sit down now please," The teacher sternly demanded. "Ms. Snapphywhether stayed home because she has a slight cold,"

The class cheered happily. Oh boy, these students were absolutely crazy.

"So I will be your teacher for the next couple days, weeks maybe. Bu the way, my name is Mr. Evans, but you can just call me Alec. Now, she has informed me that there will be a project to be completed with a partner. She has assigned these partners so don't get your hopes up.

Natalia instantly snapped her head up to the name. No wonder why his voice sounded so familiar! This was The Alec! AKA, coffee boy!

He turned around and almost instantly caught Natalia's gaze. His face broke into a grin. He waved at her and she waved back, getting weird stares from her classmates. They probably thought they were in a relationship or something. Even Jeremiah was looking at her with bemusement.

"Anyway... I will be calling everyone's names along with their partners and I will give you your project rubric." Alec said. What a coincidence this was! Coffee Boy-- I mean Alex was going to be their substitute for the next couple of days.

"Pssst." Said a voice. She snapped out of her trance and turned her head towards the voice.

"Hmm?" She asked.
