The sound of leaves crunching underneath their feet and the wind whipping by were the only audible sounds around Sera and Bryan. They had been walking in silence for roughly fifteen minutes, both of them unwilling to admit that they were lost.

They had no clue where they were and how to get to where they were going. There was no cell reception either so Google Maps was written out. Sera huffed, "It's starting to feel like this was a bad idea, Bryan. Maybe we should head back."

"No way, darling." Bryan rubbed his hands together to get warm, "I don't like the way he looks at you."

Sera scoffed, she looked over at him and couldn't help but roll her eyes. She felt like he was worried about the wrong things at the wrong time. She felt at her wits end with him as well.

Refusing to respond to Bryan, the pair continued to walk in silence.

A few minutes later, Bryan asked "Are you mad at me?"

"I'm just tired...and hungry." Sera answered back, partially truthful.

"You have been acting upset, darling. I've never seen you act this way until he came back into the picture."

"It's been an upsetting time." She shrugged her shoulders, "Let's just walk in silence for now."

"We need to communicate. How can we get married if we–"

Sera held her finger up, instantly silencing him. She listened intently. "Did you hear that?"

"Hear what?" Bryan asked, confused. "Are you just looking for an angle out of this conversation, cause it is not going to work! We need to talk this out!--"

"I hear it again! Is that... an engine?"

"If we don't work on this, consider us over!"

"Fine! I'm sick of being your trophy wife anyways." Sera blurted out.

His face fell and was marked by a look of hurt. "You are going to regret this...If you leave, there is no coming back. You and his baby will be dead to me."

"So be it, Bryan." A weight was instantly lifted off of her. "You always think you are doing me a favor by taking care of me and Emilia. You think that without you I will drown. But I am SO glad that this is happening while she is still young because my baby deserves to feel wanted and welcome, not just tolerated. You think I can't survive without you? Bryan, I'm going to soar."

Bryan was speechless. The last thing he wanted was a break up. He was bluffing, majorly bluffing. Unfortunately, this time his bluff had gone too far. His mind raced for words but he came up short, he did not know what to say to take back her cold response.

The sound that Sera was hearing got rapidly louder until they could see a black car racing down the road come to a screeching halt just a few feet behind them. The driver's side door swung open, and out came a furious Elias.

Deep down he was happy to see Sera and to know she was okay, but the frustration of the entire situation was at his forefront. He was so upset that his teeth were gritted, he let out a breath to help himself calm down. He knew it wasn't safe for her out in those areas and his priority was fixed on getting her to the embassy. "Get in the car."

"I'm not going back there."

"Sera, get in the car. I'm not playing with you." From his demeanor and tone, she could tell that he was not going to argue or go back and forth with her about it. She walked over to get in, leaving Bryan outside who was still standing there in shock from the conversation that happened a few moments prior. Elias gripped the driver's side door that was open, "We don't have all day, come on."
