ScorchKits point of view

It's already been 5 moons since my birth, the time went by very quickly. So much that I barely noticed my kit hood go by. I would soon become an apprentice, due to my appearance I am often pushed around by the other kits. But I know that I can not fight back, after all I am a blessing sent by StarClan right? I cannot lie, I am quite frightened to become an apprentice. But I must stay brave and honour my clan. I would be Entirely alone in this process if it weren't for my dearest, and only friend TwistedKit. He makes me feel less nervous about things. He is also no stranger to feeling alone in this world. He has had a harsh upbringing. I wouldn't go so far as to say it was as difficult as mine but, nonetheless he was different, An outcast, the same as me.

"Scorch!" I hear TwistedKit call out to me, my thoughts were disrupted by Twisted pushing me over and pinning me down. "Pinned ya!" Twisted laughs before letting me regain my strength, catch my breath and sit up once again. "No fair I wasn't ready!" I retort back to him with a hiss rising from my throat. "Its our ceremony tomorrow silly!!" Chirped TwistedKit. I stand up tall and we trotted together to the nursery in unison. I settled down in a nest, I could feel myself outgrowing the nursery den as time went on. We greeted our mothers with a nod before going our seperate ways to stay with our family.  I nuzzled my mother and lay beside her in the nest. She licked my head and I gazed over to Twisted. TwistedKit attempted to snuggle up beside his mother, but his brother AdderKit had already occupied the space, his mother of course showed no empathy, barely blinking an eye at TwistedKit she rested her head in the soft nest once again. And so his ears dropped and he trudged to the edge of the damp corner in the den. My ears fell back in empathy for my friend, I eyed my father and TwistedHearts father who were conversing outside the den. The sun began to set, as it did the butterfly's began to set into my stomach. Although I was respected by my clan for the prophecy I was born to, some still fear to grow close to me. I yawned and lowered by head down into the nest. My eyes became sleepy and I slowly dozed off.

Tomorrow, was the day I've been waiting for since my twisted birth.
