"What the hell?!"
A marine soldier walking by witnessed (Y/N) on top of the execution platform and immediately started running towards him.
"Hey! Kid! Come down from there right now!"
The soldier shouted desperately.
(Y/N): Okay, sir! Don't worry, it's not like I'm gonna live here...
The fourteen year old boy started climbing down the platform and when almost near the ground, he jumped.
(Y/N): What should I do now?
(Y/N) was about to leave the area until the marine soldier came up to him.
"Hey kid, don't ever do that again alright? I'm in charge of this area and if my captain ever saw you on top of that platform... Gosh, I don't even want to think about it..."
The whole concept of marine was still very confusing for (Y/N).
(Y/N): Captain? Is he your boss?
"Yeah, Captain William. I'm just a seaman apprentice, which is like eleven ranks higher than me... Wait, you don't live in Loguetown?"
(Y/N): No, I live in the orphanage outside of the town.
The soldier paused from hearing this. He knew about the orphanage outside of Loguetown and how it was in danger of shutting down due to the lack of support and donation.
(Y/N): Say... Do you earn a lot of money?
"Hmm... Uh, enough to put food on my table, I guess?"
(Y/N): How much does the captain earn?
"Haha... Probably six or seven times more than me. Why do you want to know, kid?"
(Y/N): Can I become a marine?
