The room kept repeating: like an incessant maze. The people in the room looked at the space phenomenon, stunned, except for the weird exorcist.

"How the...What, huh?" The woman did not have enough words to express the sense of flabbergast she felt.

"My goodness." Kusuriuri had a stoic face, but his eyes displayed displeasure with the situation.

Another loud rumbling and shake. The group wasn't aware of what would happen. They had a Mononoke to fight and infinite rooms to try to escape. There was trembling, cold sweat, wide eyes, and shock. Their bodies could not function correctly. The medicine seller had to lend a hand to liberate them from their fears.

Tokuji walked silently to the other exit, wanting to leave without anyone noticing, although, when he opened the door, another infinite hall was visible. With that, the tan man began screaming in disbelief.

"Kusuriuri! Is there any way to get out of here?" The pearled girl asked with a nervous and desperate voice.

"It's simple. If we want to leave, I must destroy the Mononoke."

When those final words left his mouth, the scenery began to change. The Mononoke was active. Escaping was not an option.

Invisible to all except the medicine seller, the Zashashiwaraki wrapped the receptionist and his boss, looking at them disgusted. Only one allowed himself to be visible, which stood right in front of the pregnant lady. After some silent stares, the Mononoke smiled, saying: "Mother."

Yet another floor quiver, but this time, it removed the medicine seller from the original room. He tried his best to return, but the Mononoke did not allow him. Knowing that he could not get back, he called for Shinju.

"Miss!" Shinju shouted while grabbing the unconscious woman. Her whole body went right into the arms of the pearled girl, who maintained her upright with difficulty because since she was pregnant, she weighed more. When she heard her master call, she tried to look for his figure, although to no avail. "It's your turn now!" The girl heard in the distance. The voice was slow, allowing her to recognize it in no time.

Without noticing, her vision became blurry. The dark-haired girl did not fall. When she regained the ability to see, the room was not the same as before.

The new place had a pedestal-like rectangle in the middle surrounded by water, circles, and straight lines decorating the floor. There was a delineation of scales to which the purple-eyed gal ran without a second thought. Shinju wanted to feel safe, and the closest being that brought her confidence was the medicine seller, the man who had saved her from the claws of death.

She grabbed one with grace and spun it with her index finger. When it stopped rotating, it moved like it was dizzy and fell to the ground, returning after some time to its original position.

"I knew it they are sentient... Wait, they are sentient?!" Shinju got scared of her experiments. She did not want to touch many more scales after that. A shiver went down her spine just thinking of how the bright item was able to bow and move on its own. "Oh, no. I might piss them off, and then they will be angry at me! What do I do?!"

"It stinks..." Another voice interrupted her monologue.

"Oh, Miss! Are you okay?!" "Y-you are here!"

The blonde woman ran to Shinju. She was relieved to see her there. She thought of her as an angel sent from above. It brought her a sense of safety. Although, when a thud came from her original position, seeing the baby doll made her shriek, hugging her companion for that room.
