Finney couldn't believe the words that came out of his father's mouth.

First Oliver, now Robin.

He was slowly losing himself, he thought he was crazy. All he could feel was the tears pouring down his face and the wails he let out into his pillow. He covered himself with his space-themed sheets, a bit of his brunette hair sticking out near the top.

The sky was dark, moon high and bright. Finn's room illuminated by the street lamp outside, his curtains hung open.

Gwen, quietly opening her brother's bedroom door, hears the small whimpers and sniffles coming from the bed. She frowns, closing the door behind her as she sits down on the bed, Finney revealing himself. His face was red, stained with salty tears, his eyes basically bloodshot.

Gwen opens her arms, letting Finn hug her and sob. The brunette haired girl, hair still stuck in pigtails let out some tears as well, she was never close with Finney's friends but with his reaction, she couldn't hold it back. Both of them equally wanted things to go back the way they were.

The next Friday, Finney Blake was walking the streets alone, making his way home from school. Gwen had separated near school, going to a friend's house for the night.

Finn's nose and chest still hurt from earlier that morning, in which he got pinned down by his bullies. Gwen tried helping but it only helped so much. Finney didn't know why things had to be like this for him, he didn't know why he was so weak, why he couldn't stand up for himself for once.

He kept his eyes down at the ground, watching his feet travel down the sidewalk. He avoided the cracks, some childish thing he did when walking home, he didn't have anything else to do anyways. He had headphones over his ears, cassette player stuffed in his pocket, lightly bopping his head to the music.

As he walks down the street, a black van was parked on the side of the street. On the side was written 'Abracadabra' with smaller writing on the bottom about a magic shop or something. Finn continues to walk past, but abruptly stops as a man falls and drops his paper bags onto the sidewalk in front of him.

"Ah, sorry. I dropped my groceries. You get my hat for me?" The man speaks, pointing over to the top hat laying on the sidewalk in front of Finney's shoes.

Finn kneels down, grabbing the hat and handing it to the man. His eggs were smashed, the bags were now ripped and some glass had shattered from whatever jars the man had in those bags. The liquids soiled the bags, making them useless now.

Finney decides to be nice to the pale man with the glasses and top hat, helping him gather the remains of his groceries together. Something was still on his mind, though. Gwen said that in her dream about Bruce, she saw black balloons at the same spot where Bruce was taken off his bike.

As he stood up, Finn looks at the back windows of the van, seeing black balloons. Now concerned he turns to the pale man who had also stood up.

"I'm a part-time magician. Would you like to see a magic trick?" He asks

Finn, not wanting to be rude and being an innocent child agrees, watching the man shake up a can of what looked like spray paint, except there was no label or anything. Finn turns back to the van, then back to the man.

"Are those black balloons in there?"

"Yeah"

The man steps forward, opening the door and grabbing the bunch of balloons and Finney at the neck. Finn yells, and exclaims, grabbing his Lego spaceship from his pocket, slashing then man as he yells in pain.

Finney continues to scream at the top of his lungs, kicking at the man as he was heald, the spray, which turned out to be chloroform, being shoved down his throat with a hissing sound. Finn's screams were muffled as the man put a hand over his mouth, shoving him in the van.

The boy's vision started to quickly become blurry, his throat hurting like absolute hell, like he slept with his mouth open all night long while the ceiling fan was on. He continued to kick at the man as his vision faded, he tried to scream but nothing came out, like a whisper.

The man stares at him as he releases the balloons, slamming the van door as the boy closes his eyes, the chloroform taking him over.

What the actual, living, fuck.
