You're Hired

Latte's POV:

I lowered my paper and looked at the Eevee in front of me. I lowered one of my eye brows and began.

"So you wanna work here,yes?"

"That is correct!"

I knock the papers on my desk,getting them sorted while flipping through them,reading quickly while glancing at the Eevee. I cleared my throat and sat the papers down,sitting my paws in one another.

"So what is your name?"

"My name is Chai."

I nodded and flicked my tail,glancing at a clock then at the papers.

"So you want to work as a cashier?"

"That is correct."

"I will be your manager, is that alright with you?"

"Mhm."

I shrugged and looked to the left,taking a moment to think.

"You said on your resume that you were a cashier before at Food Pyroar, is that correct?"

"Yes ma'am."

I nodded and stood from my seat,signing for her to follow me. I walked out of the room and past the kitchen,entering the door to the Registers,I sat down and put my paws on the desk,a register right In front of them. I looked over to her as she did the same.

"Now,do you know how to work the register?"

"Yep, cash goes in here,credit is scanned here!"

I nodded,I was impressed with the skill this young Eevee had.

"Nice work,Chai! I'll talk to the CEO about your skills and we'll see if we can hire ya!"

I gave a small smile as I watched the eevee's tail rapidly begin to swing,excitement shined in her eyes. I chuckled and stood,walking through the kitchen and down to Coffee's office. I tapped the small bell he had and scooted my chair out.

"Hey Coffee,we got someone who wants to be hired."

His seat spun around to me,I took my seat in the small wooden chair across from him. He nodded and began the questions.

"Did they perform well with the job's you tested?"

"They performed amazingly at the cash register."

"Let me see,if they do well with getting an order I'll hire them,if they don't I'm afraid they will not be working here."

I nodded and got out of the chair,I walked out to the cash register and waved to chai.

"I asked a few friends to come by so I can test you alright chai?"

"Yes sir!"

Coffee walked to the doors and flipped the sign near the window to "OPEN'',walking back and sitting in a chair to watch how the newbie would do. After a minute or two a furret had walked in,tossed itself onto its back legs and waved,leaning its head down a small bit to place an order with chai.

"Can I get a Frappuccino with extra whipped cream?"

He asked shyly. Chai nodded and held the mic,which led to the kitchen.

"One Frappuccino with extra whipped cream."

She leaned away from the microphone and looked up to the furret.

"And what name shall I put that under?"

"Bandit"

I held a look of joy,I was so happy for her,she was doing so well! I was taken out of my thoughts when a customer walked over,a clefable and Cleffa. I sat my paws on my desk and looked at them.

"Welcome to Coffee's Eevee Cafe, how may I help you?"

"I'll get an espresso and a cake pop."

I nodded and leaned into my microphone.

"One Espresso and one cake pop."

I leaned away and looked to the clefable and her daughter.

"Name?"

"Gabby."

I nodded and watched as she walked over to a table,sitting her child down in a high chair. I looked over to see how Chai was doing.
Chai grabbed a marker and began to write on the cup Cocoa had handed to her,she finished writing and pushed the drink forward and called.

"Bandit, your drink is ready!"

The furret scurried over and smiled,he took out a credit card and scanned it. Chai tapped a few buttons and grinned.

"Thanks for visiting,hope to see you again soon!"

"Have a good day!"

The furret would pick the drink up and walked out. Cocoa had walked out once again and handed a cup and a small bag to me. I would write the name in marker and push the order up.

"Gabby, your order is finished!"

The clefable walked over and smiled, taking the drink and bag,walking over to her daughter and picking her up.

"Have a nice day ma'am."

I hummed. Coffee walked over to the doors and flipped the sign and walked back over. I felt my heart skip a beat almost,I hoped she got to keep the job. Coffee was silent for a second or two before speaking.

"I hope you're ready to work in this café!"

I watched as her eyes dilated with joy,her tail swinging as fast as a rapidash. I smiled and swung my tail calmly.

"Welcome to the café chai!"

Cocoa purred. Chai Put her paws on her face squealing with excitement,Coffee chuckled and walked around the register.

"Give me your email so I can send you your schedule for the first week."

"Oh it's LetsgoChai@bulba.com!"

Coffee input the email and send a quick message.

"If you got an email from CoffeeTheJolteon@bulba.com then that's me."

"Got it!"

"Alright I'll send your schedule later today.

Chai nodded and headed for the doors,waving with a smile. Cocoa,Coffee and I waved back. I could see the happiness in her eyes as she walked away. I looked at Coffee.

"So,our first employee is now here?"

"Seems to be!"

"Just think about it, within a few weeks we will have a huge staff if people keep popping up wanting to work here!"

Coffee nodded to his sister's idea,shutting his eyes and chuckling.

"This is only the start of our business, let's not put anything to waste!"
